Munster might have been boring on the pitch down through the years but there's always been a lot to talk about.
Happy new year everybody.
It's 11:45, my drink awaits so I'll sign off.

Re: Ireland U20s 2023
It seems like the 20s will have a very strong pack this year. O'Tighearnaigh and McNabney returning from a Grand Slam-winning side, then Ruadhan Quinn, Paddy McCarthy, Evan O'Connell and James Mangan added to the mix. These guys have all been stand-outs through age-grade rugby, and Quinn has alread...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
God that was hard to watch. 2 very poor teams in my opinion. Munster will be happy with the win but if you could see any good it I don't know what you were watching. Switched over to toulouse v sale after 20 minutes, was like watching a different sport. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk I didn't ...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Looking at Northampton side for tomorrow, the backline isn't full of quality (Proctor is a good player though and Furbank/Freeman can score), but the pack is surprisingly big. 4-6 are all large powerful men and Ludlam/Augustus/Matavesi are good carriers who'll fancy a go at that 10/12/13 Munster ax...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Crowley was very impressive in the last few games at 12. Interesting that R Scannell is ahead of Fekitoa. Hodnett rotated after 7 games in a row.

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Munster could afford to approach Kelleher. They were able to extend Snyman to offer de Allende an extension, to sign Fekitoa, to sign Frisch, they offered Jenkins an extension but were too slow. There was budget to pick up Morris and McDonald. It's not that they don't have money or were in a firesa...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Their Wiki pages are interesting, Coombes's is longer (that buzz you were talking about). Coombes scored his first senior try at the end of the month that Doris made his Ireland debut in the 6N. Honours Individual Pro14 Young Player of the Year: 1 (2020) Autumn Nations Series Player of the Series: ...

No Fekitoa. Looks like the rumours could be true but Scannell fits the new system well.

Re: Autumn Internationals 2022 Not Ireland
Absolutely delighted we have Wales first in 6N and looking forward to a (Rugby League) master-class from Faz in pre-match communications with media when Gats starts the s£it stirring. Ireland will definitely have no fear of this or the English game in 6N. The buildup should be interesting. Gatland ...

Re: Autumn Internationals 2022 Not Ireland
Which is not I think quite how I see the Welsh twist. I think Gatland will deliver a decent world cup campaign, even without Edwards who will likely be winning one elsewhere, they certainly won't capitulate against us in the 6N like they did last time. He'll send them out with fire in their bellies...

Re: Ulster 2022-2023
I count 17 forwards who are not Ulster natives. Until they start producing their own it's going to be an uphill struggle. Stewart looks a real talent but they need that type of quality coming through every year. They got blown away up front against Leinster because they don't have the quality of ath...

Re: Autumn Internationals 2022 Not Ireland
Welsh rugby is like a whodunit film. Every day fans blame a different area of the welsh game. It might be Pivac, the WRU, the regions, the amateur clubs, the attack coach etc. At least they've quietened down on blaming the Irish. :D This might be a case of them not seeing the wood for the trees. Loo...

Re: Ireland U20s 2023
I've heard good things about Andrew Osbourne. Is he related to Jamie? younger brother, he appears to be going well for Naas. Hugh Cooney (Blackrock / Clontarf ) and Henry McErlean (St. Michaels / Terenure ) would be the two prospects in the outside backs . Sam Prendergast is a classy act but might ...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
From a purely financial point of view, the Ed Sheeran concerts, the SA match and now the Dermot Kennedy concert are massive. I don’t know what the actual figures are for each of these, but I would imagine it is over the 7 figure mark. This is a major result for Munster and one that the marketing te...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
I don't know much about Frisch but he looks class so far. He seems to have time on the ball, good skills, good size etc. I wouldn't mind seeing Munster have a clear out of centers in the next 2 seasons. Keep Frisch and get rid of the others. Farrell has done nothing. Goggin and Scannell are limited....

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Just catching up on the Munster game (still have 20 minutes to go). That penalty on 57 minutes for a tackle in the air was ludicrous. Hodnett caught the ball with a foot on the ground. Tackler committed. Surely it was a. Jump out of the tackle. Connacht can count themselves lucky. A minute before t...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
I can’t remember a time when I was both this excited and this nervous about a Munster v Connacht game. Munster not only need to start winning games, but they need to start picking up bonus points. Connacht are not the team to do this against, but a loss puts Munster a further 3-4 points out of the ...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
ROG’s record speaks for itself. He has had success wherever he has been. He drives high standards wherever he goes and looks to get the best out of his players. Whilst I do not want rugby to ever go down the soccer or GAA route, I do think rugby is far too sterile. When something happens, it is goo...
