Re: Restaurant/Take Away Review Thread

Following Saba (Rathmines) and Diep (Ranelagh), Siam Thai have opened a take-away. It's in Ranelagh, where the pizza place used to be (the one that always looked closed, but claimed to have the best pizza in the world, opposite Pinocchio). Haven't tried it yet, but menu looks like similar options b...

Re: Netflix?

Using it on PS3 - Selection is cr@p for new releases, I thought Apple tv was bad but Netflix is far worse. Still though it is free for the first month and there are lots of good docs on there and a few tv shows worth watching - currently half way through Firefly - great show. Loads of Animé flix too...

Thanks. I've been finding it very difficult to get good fantasy reads. I had read George RR Martin and Robin Hobb first so I guess it's a tough benchmark.

Have you read The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever by Stephen R. Donaldson, loved them

Also if that type of historical novel floats your boat then try Peking by Anthony Grey - set in China during the Long March and Saigon by same author set in Nam from time of French occupation all the way up to the Yanks.

It's set 200 years after the end of Pillars and right now I couldn't say which is better. Yes, still one of my fav books ever, ...

It took a fortnight all told. I can PM you the number of the support centre I phoned. They really di...
