Re: Techy advice needed
Hi guys - saw mention of Handbrake above - is the site handbrake.fr? I have some old hi8 digital tapes from a sony camcorder that i want to save to dvd. Is this the best way of doing it? I had a go using standard windows application (movie maker or something like that) which worked ok but extremely ...

Re: Ticket Exchange
Had to have tix emailed to me - seems to be a bug with ticketexchange - not sure what you do if you bought tix on saturday and there was no one working in LR to help.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before - bought 2 tix on ticket exchange but when i go to print it says "Due to Leinster Rugby policies, these tickets have been restricted from sale and forwarding" - anyone know what's going on here? I tried ticketmaster but amazingly they couldn't gi...

Re: US Open Thread
I heard this from a guy today and was completely shocked by it.....apparently not all of the Leinster squad are practicing Catholics - I for one feel embarrased for fully celebrating the HC victory.......I feel dirty. If I had known there was 10% non-catholics I would only have celebrated 90%.

Re: US Open Thread
Watching Sergio Garcia is tortuous - tee to green fantastic and then falls apart over 5 footers - puts on 17 and 18 were horrendous. Its amazing - I would have thought that putting was probably the one part of the game that you could really make improvements on with the right coaching and technique ...

Re: When were you bitten...!
Toulouse '06 - great day but flights were delayed following day until close to midnight. As we waited in line, Felipe came along with wife, baby and his Dad. Shook hands with everyone. He was sitting a couple of rows in front of us and managed to drop the baby-bag as he was putting it into the overh...

Re: Stanley cup
Boston won last night to set up a game 7 in vancouver on wednesday night. Vancouver 'goalie' Luongo having a nightmare in games in Boston but then plays brilliantly in Vancouver. Well set up for a cracking final game.

Stanley cup
Anyone watching this (ESPN)? Vancouver took a 2-0 lead after 2 home games. Game 3 in Boston was tied until the following "attack" (best word for it) on a Bruins player http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXi7TM7moP4. Boston went on to win that game 8-1 and won game 4 by 4-0 to tie the series 2-...

Re: What's on the BBQ this weekend?
banana in tin foil on bbq is truly the finest dessert you will ever taste. Havent tried it with the chocs but will do that this w/end - i normally just wrap them up, skin still on,and when they are done slice down the middle and serve with ice cream - food of the gods.

Re: Robbie Keane
[quote="suisse"]I find it deplorable that people like Anthony Stokes, James McC, Marc Wilson and Leon Best et al should be picked again to represent the same jersey Keane does. I'd see LoI plsyers take the place of these cowards. couldn't agree more Brian Kerr was on the radio a week ago s...

Re: Robbie Keane
ok so he might have scored a fair % of his goals in friendlies - to me, this only reflects even better on him that he was bothered to play unattractive friendlies at a time when he was riding high in Italy/Premiership. Contrast this with the clowns who declare for us and then arent bothered to come ...

Re: Robbie Keane
I'm not a kissball supporter and that carling cup thing is nonsense. However Robbie Keane's 49 goals in international football is nothing short of astonishing. I think its worth a mention as 1 more goal sees him being the top scorer in international football in the British Isles. Fair dues to the T...
