Re: NZ vs England
Nigel Owens had a massive influence on that result. Made some very harsh calls against England and let away NZ away with murder. Two definite yellow card offences against NZ that were ignored. Didn't see the game but this is kind of a trend with Nigel. Have just watched it now and have to agree. Wh...

Re: the old green leinster kit - what was it like
I remember a charity match in Donnybrook in the early 70's between Dublin and Cork. Dublin played in green.

Re: Organised Sunbathing aka Cricket
A great win for Ireland. Afghanistan hung on for a good while but the John Mooney made his mark with the new ball - well-deserved Man of the Match. That's all three titles for Ireland this year
ICC live streaming was excellent.

Re: Organised Sunbathing aka Cricket
Great performance by Ireland in Abu Dhabi over the last two weeks . Unbeaten, won the competition and qualified for World 20-20 next year with a good chance of causing some upsets among the big boys.

Re: The Rugby Championship (or Four Nations if you like)
Have just watched the 2nd half after getting home from LR. I suppose they deserved it. I still think that they are an unpleasant lot. It was good to see Rollo dealing with Richie McCaw!

I have just watched the trogledytes perform that stupid, arrogant, neaderthal war-dance of theirs. I hope that the Saffies stuff them.

I have heard on good authority that the disciplinary committee said that it should not have been a penalty and have criticised Mr Barnes!

Re: Irish Independent
Have to disagree on Matt Williams's column. It's obvious that he's a good communicator and that the editor at the Irish Times has asked him for something a little different over the past few weeks. Last week's piece on the match at the SCG was fantastic, and having been to a Christmas test there it...

Re: Organised Sunbathing aka Cricket
Paul Collingwood was captaining England against New Zealand a couple of years ago. Ryan Sidebottom ran into New Zealand batsman, Grant Elliott in his followthrough and tripped him up. Elliott was run out, but Collingwood refused to withdraw his appeal, when asked to do so by the umpires, and the run...

Re: Tri-Nations
Poor stuff from Rolland there. Should have been a card for the ABs after they blatantly killed the ball after that break from the Boks. Didn't even give a penalty Have only just watched it, AB's (unfortunately) deserved to win. Agree there should have been a card. To be fair to Alain Rolland, it mu...

A quote from today's Sydney Morning Herald "Wallabies captain Rocky Elsom is running short of Australian provinces to play for next season, with the Queensland Reds yesterday saying they do not have a spot for him......a high-profile European club is also chasing him". If only

Re: Presidential Election
I'd love to see Norris get it but doubt it, too many backward idiots on county councils in the country for him to get a nomination imo unfortunately. I hope Pat Cox doesnt even get the nomination from Fine Gael let alone a proper run at the Aras. My preference would be either Norris or Mitchell at ...
