Re: Ulster 2023/24
McFarland has to be gone now surely? Ulster look a rabble. Can't say I've ever warmed to the fella, comes across as dour and sarky. Can't always be the coach though, that Ulster dressing room has got rid of nearly every coach. They are as bad as Chelsea in football for downing tools. Something rott...

Re: RWC 2023: Ireland
Players under 30 in the Ireland squad produced at a province other than Leinster: Tom O'Toole Craig Casey Jack Crowley One made the QF but wasn't used. I've said it for a while, but the situation might get worse before it gets better. I think at the next world cup there will be more live contenders...

Re: RWC 2023: Ireland
Watching it live I'd worry Keith earls has got old at the wrong time. Same as what happened to Darcy and Hayes right before previous world cups. He never goes for the outside break anymore, looks a bit slow chasing kicks and was badly ran over for the final try. Hope I'm wrong because I have the upm...

Re: Ireland U20s 2023
Hard luck to the lads they tried their hearts out, the back row half backs and no12 on France are exceptional players.
Anyone know how many of our lads are back again next year?

Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
I think after today we need to reevaluate the overseas players we sign. They should only be top quality international players that can impact big games like today rather than good URC players

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Edogbo is particularly good news. He could be a bolter for RWC.

World cup is probably to early for him but Does he still qualify for the Ireland under 20 or did he just skip the level.

Re: 6 Nations 2023 - Ireland
Two things learned
(1) Casey is headless, needs to work a lot on option taking
(2) Bundee can never play 13 again, he's too bulky now

Re: Munster v Leinster St Stephen's Day 19.35 TG4
The big problem for Munster is that their players aren't currently equiped with the skills to play the brand of rugby they want to play under prendergast. JOD, killer, Ryan scannell and kleyn for example just run straight until they crash into someone and have another ruck. They don't offload or act...

What about warrick at ulster, he starts ahead of o Sullivan. I would say we will call up two props. I'd like to see Dooley rewarded for leaving Leinster for first team rugby.

Re: Tour to NZ 2022
Heffernan, loughman and Treadwell for me are a long way off this level.
Personally haven't seen anything from Casey to say he is at this level now, he may get there but he needs a lot of development still in his game management.
I thought larmour, Aki, coombes and in spots o Brien went well

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Heineken Cup Final Sat 28th May 4.45 Marseille
We played their game at their pace. It was a tactical masterclass. Slow it down then play in bursts. This allowed Skelton, Antonio etc to stay in the game. They ploughed into our breakdown (often illegally) and made it a mess. No fast ball and we looked very average. I expect the south African teams...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022
We should bring josh Wycherley and maybe even jack Boyle, Healy is at an age where it could all unravel in a short space of time and it's hard to see where our sub prop would come from if he does.

How did John McKee not end up in the ulster academy, they are very short in the tight 5 and looks a great prospect, will they move to get him back?

Who are the players likely to go onto play professional and become senior internationals. Jack Boyle for me would be a definite.

Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
Fair play to Munster for winning but even with the players they were were missing you should be bonus pointing 14 men. The starting backline was a match for anyone in the competition so don't fully buy the greatest achievement ever

Re: Summer tour of Dublin 2021
Interesting team going to try and out power them which makes sense I suppose.petes days in the back row have to be numbered. I wonder will farrell and McCloskey be too slow in the outside channels vs this Japan team. I think it'll be close
