He posted this earlier but quickly deleted it - sure organising a league over multiple jurisdictions during a global pandemic should be easy.

Re: Friday's rant

I saw him at one of our Christmas games in Lansdowne a few years back. I can't remember who we were playing, it might have been Toulon.

Re: 2023 World Cup draw

I knew the draw was on, not sure it's something to get too excited about. We're just over a year on since 2019 so still some way to go to 2023.

We could get a really tricky group and a potentially tricky QF too, we will know soon enough.

I think it's to do with the Heineken logo.

Re: A whiff of Cordite

I see Cummiskey referring to Nucifora as "the twice capped Wallaby hooker" in his article today about the contract impasse. He just loves the little snide remarks. I'm not a big fan of Nucifora but he could also be described as "world cup winning hooker" to be fair.

Re: England v Ireland 21 November 15:00

Maybe Sexton should have been rested or benched for the Wales game to keep him fit for Twickenham especially as we have no real alternative to him at present. Wales have been poor all year so that was a good opportunity to give one of the less experienced 10s a run out in a home game.

Isn't James Lowe registered for Clondalkin RFC?

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21

It will be interesting to see how this all works out, I have my doubts but do have a strong suspicion that it was a case of making sure to avoid reverting back to the 6 pools of 4 format which previously worked so well.

Re: 8 Nations 2020

Yes, Quinn Roux definitely deserves the call-up. Might end up being the international level tight-head second-row Schmidt was looking for in Jean Kleyn. It's an interesting squad, Ed Byrne beat Denis Buckley in the battle of the little chunksters, and great to see Keenan and Shane Daly make it. I t...

Re: Bernard Laporte and France

Bernard being kept in custody for another 24 hours.

Edit - looks like there was some confusion with this story. The IT was reporting yesterday his detention was being extended by 24 hours, now they say he was released after 24 hours.

Re: Pro 14 2020-2021 season

Given that this is supposed to be starting in 11 days is there any sign of an all actual fixture list? Good question. A few articles today mention us having our first league game in less than two weeks but no actual mention of who we're playing. No fixtures on the Leinster site, nothing related to ...

From Brendan Fanning's piece on the Saracens game........Ouch! "Would a full house have changed anything? It would have taken the roof off in the last quarter when Jordan Larmour was skating over. But that's only if they had come back from the bar after the first 20 minutes." https://www.independent...

It's on again on BT3 this afternoon in place of the cancelled Castres-Leicester game.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

The scrum was terrible. Embarrassing. The front row seemed to just lie down and accept it. Some of the penalties (at least two) were from illegal, crooked driving by Sarries, but we didn’t even protest. They also seemed to pull back on two engagements, causing our front row to fall. I would need to...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

What was the point of replacing Cronin and Toner after two minutes of the second half - why not replace them at half-time? This isn't very helpful to you, but someone once told me the reason for doing this, and it made sense, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was  +1 Is that a +1...
