Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Gutted to go out in a quarter final, but honestly I think we can be pretty proud of what we've accomplished this year. We blooded a lot of new players (3 in this game alone). Thought Keenan and Baird especially stood up and showed that they may be new, but they can mix it at the top level, Keenan lo...

Re: Pro 14 Semi-final vs Munster, Friday Sept 4th, 7.35pm

A real dog fight where we battled hard and strangled Munster. Murray and JJ lost the game for them. Scrum looked good, lineout looked horrible and is a real area of concern... Doris, Sexton and McGrath played great, with Connors smashing beautifully once again, its going to be hard to leave him out,...

Re: Pro 14 Semi-final vs Munster, Friday Sept 4th, 7.35pm

I think I'd prefer to see Rob at the back tbh, his presence there will probably be enough to deter Munster from kicking there, we have plenty of other attacking options. Keenan looks good, but I just dont think hes ready for knockout games yet. Larmour on the wing for me. Cronin v Kelleher is a 50/5...

Re: England v Ireland 2020 6N 23-FEB Father vs Son

They are playing without the Vunipolas, multiple players playing out of position, centers that are coming back from injuries and a Courtney Lawes thats doing the best one eyed willy impression Ive ever seen. In truth, we'll never have a better chance to beat them. We really should be winning this one.

Re: England v Ireland 2020 6N 23-FEB Father vs Son

Sorry to hear Mako likely wont be playing, always great to see him on the field. I'd be inclined to agree with wixford tho and start Kilcoyne. Will be interesting to see if Farrell will stick with his starting six nations 8 in Doris, or go for O'Mahony in the cauldron. I reckon if we can stop Genge ...

Re: Leinster vs Cheetahs 15/2/20 14.30

Thought we had a brilliant first half in those conditions. As good as I've seen. Connors, Kelleher and Fardy were especially good. Bit worried about our scrum tho, Robin McBryde has plenty of work to do

Re: Irl v Sco 6Ns 2020

Cooney has to start now against Wales, he looked much much sharper when he came on. Murray was appauling. We made very hard work of that, not helped by some poor refereeing in the first half. Assuming Doris is now gone for 3 weeks Deegan should get his shot at 8. CJ had a great game and I have alway...

Re: 6 Nations 2020

Even with my blue tinted glasses on, i still cant see for the life of me why McCloskey wasnt included, especially considering his two halfback partners are there. Is it another 'face doesnt fit' scenario? I would have been quite critical of McCloskey in the past, but he really does seem to have stop...

This performance was really good. Furlong and Ringrose looked back to their best. Ross byrne played a great game when he was on. We're getting close to reaching those heights again!

Re: Saints away 7th December

Thought this was a great away win, but the scoreline really did flatter us. When I try to compare this side to our previous sides who have won the competition I think we are still a bit off the mark, and theres plenty of work to do if we want to lift the trophy again. Our forwards were very good, bu...

Re: Pro14 R4: Zebre v Leinster Sat 26th Oct 17:15 KO

Deegan is an 8, Doris is a 6, the sooner we get this, the better. Like other posters, I want to see Harry Byrne get a full run before the HC starts he has the potential to be our answer at 10. Molony stepped up (more of this please), and I think people are being a bit harsh on Tomane, he played dece...

Re: RWC Quarter-Final v New Zealand

Totally happy with Nige as the ref, as I'm sure Newzealand will be. Barnes and Nige are the best refs imo, even tho, i'd say there might have been a few Kiwis whinging if Barnes was the ref. New Zealand as brilliant as they are, are coming into this undercooked no matter what way you look at it. Apa...

Re: RWC2019 31-man squad

Totally agree Oldschool, Pichot is just trying his best to stir the pot, If I was him, i'd be far more concerned on how to lure foreign talent into Argentina within the current rules. We need to leave the selection thing behind now and get behind the squad that is going. On the possible South Africa...

Pretty shocked by the Toner and Marmion omissions. I'd actually have had Marmion ahead of Murray at the moment. Real set piece gamble by Joe.

The first half was acceptable considering its our first real game, but shocked at how off the pace we were in that second half, we gave up, and thats really not like us. There were some positives, but not many
