Re: Promising Players
That guy is an incredible prospect - saw the footage of one match he played in, it was one of those times where you just immediately think "he's going to be an international"tackle-bag wrote:Ian McKinley of St. Columba's

Re: To get you in the mood
A very hard match to ref, but god that was a shocker. In fairness, there was an awful lot of off the ball cheating going on in that match nice to see that it wasn't rewarded in the end

At a guess, all of them.elfy wrote:The guy who wasn't registered has played with the team for two years and no other team in that time. I wonder has any other team in the league played an unregistered player!!! Pretty harsh being thrown out for it.

Re: Leinster Cubs go noodle crazy at Wagamama!
Leinster players eat for free in Wagamama - there is one of them in particular who takes the piss, regulars could be forgiven if they were under the impression that he actually works there.

Re: J4 Metro League Fixtures
Old Belvo will amazingly find some very talented players just in the time for the cup and beat DLSP I reckon. In fairness they already have a pretty talented side, judging by the way they won the league. Well I have played them a few times and they are not known for playing the same team in the lea...

Re: €6 Million White Elephant on the Donnybrook Road
The grass roots as a term is distinct from growing the game in untraditional areas. By grass roots I am referring to the game as played at an amateur level in the province and as such, the redevelopment of Donnybrook is certainly an investment in this part of the game. Now if I understood it, Combat...

Re: €6 Million White Elephant on the Donnybrook Road
Why not? You might be happy with the 3rd world sporting infrastructure in this country but I certainly am not. The redevelopment of Donnybrook is a great investment by the branch in the grass roots of the game (and that's not just schools as you well know) and hopefully just the start of a wider ser...

Re: €6 Million White Elephant on the Donnybrook Road
6 million notes would have funded an awful lot of RDO's, kit, footballs, marketing etc etc in an effort to develop the game in the province. 6 million notes? It was 5 million a while ago. I'm not disputing the figure per se, it just seems a bit rounded off if you know what I mean. In any case, the ...

You're not though, are you? And you know it. You wake up every morning in a damp-stained hovel in Sallynoggin, kick through the dicarded boxes of Goodfellas Hawaiian pizzas and empty B&H, pull on your Offaly jersey from 1982, and cry salty tears of regret you didn't get accepted into Dublin Uni...

Re: J4 Metro League Fixtures
As you can only push 1.5metres in the scrum at J4 level, whoever said that uncontested scrums have cost certain teams the league is having a laugh.

I'm assuming that there is some sort of legal onus on the IRFU regarding front row players in order to meet the criteria of their insurance policy.

Re: J4 Metro League Fixtures
Clontarf V Terenure that is going to be a good match. Clontarf came through the league undefeated but I didn't actually think that they were the best team we played. If that is the Gick closed J4 team they're playing then it will probably be curtains for them.
