Re: Corona Virus

As predicted, the government decision on golf and tennis has unleashed the potential of c. 400,000 letter writers who were previously a largely supportive silent majority of sanity. Before this 6 weeks are finished Donnelly, Martin, Ryan and Varadkar are going to seriously regret pissing off a grou...

Re: Corona Virus

The Govm't has rightly pissed off members of Tennis & Golf Clubs by ordering all to close from tomorrow. The GUI apparently offered to enforce the 5km restriction on its own Club members and to ensure only two players could play 9 holes a day. Rumour has it that GAA-focussed Ministers insisted that...

Re: Corona Virus

Did Meath really have 186 cases today, up from "only" 38 yesterday? Ratoath won the county championship Sunday before last and a 3 day bender ensued. Same in Kingsocurt, Killeshandra, Kilnaleck and Moycullen. Those are the ones I know of. It turns out people who have to work in between playing are ...

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread

Not sure where to post this. If and when the Government relax and ease restrictions in relation to large gatherings/crowds in the coming months. Also seeing that the GAA have rescheduled their entire season. How much of an impact will these factors have on attendances for the provinces and the IRFU?...

Day 21 without rugby. I went to my wife's side of the bed just so I could hear someone say "Roll away" again.

Re: Classic Matches

Rugbylist has a new VIP section. Last night I watched the 2009 semi in Croker, brilliant. Feckin great website! :happy clapper: It is to be sure and for me a large part of the year in Germany a life-saver. Saw something about the VIP section, but how do I get in? I requested VIP access in their twi...

Jim Corr gone full tinfoil hat on COVID19. Claiming 5G and Bill Gates were to blame for the spread of the virus.

Re: 6 Nations 2020

Having watched the RWC19 and this year's 6N. Rolland has really hung his hat on a bunch of really incompetent SH referees. Williams, O'Keefe, Peyper and to a lesser extent Gardner.

Re: Ireland v. Italy - Sat 07 March 14.15

Rescheduling this is going to be a logistical nightmare for the IRFU and 6 nations inc. Add to the mix the fact that some Euro 2020 matches are being played at the Aviva. I recall reading a while back when a major tournament is being played at a particular stadium, the governing body in this case UE...

Re: Champions Cup 2020

Could Bein and BT not come a compromise on the timings of QFs. Seems strange to have two of them on at the same time or is it the EPRC dancing to the tune of two masters.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Genetics undoubtedly had a part to play. But the smaller the pond you pick from the more likely the fish are to be related. The ostensible pond Leinster rugby is picking from is quite large yet there are still quite a lot of siblings in the squad. The real pond, as we know, is much smaller. It's po...
