Re: Corona Virus

So Deja Vue. Now is the time to plan for post exit and even pre exit. TaT . Re-evaluate and forget about trying to control COVID country wide. Look after the health workers, the at risk and the schools. Then use any remaining capacity selectively. Analyse the data to identify what areas that remaini...

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October

Stockdale at 15 gives the option of Lowe at 11. Also we need options at 15, it's clearer now that Larmour is hurt. I really like Lowe, Stockdale and Larmour as a potential back 3. Others may disagree about Conway and Earls. Stockdale at 15 gives the option of Lowe at 11. Also we need options at 15,...

Thread Killers.

You engage them, they win.

You don’t engage them, they win.

I'd see that as a win win. 😂😉

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October

Stockdale is an enigma and the reason for is that he's not switched on 100% of the time. Good teams will exploit that. He also needs more time at FB for Ulster. There's too many "ifs" at this point in his "Stockdale at FB" career. If we are really going to take chances, why not start with JGP, the b...

5 years ago, if someone said leinster would have someone as big as Ruddock playing hooker..
He could be an option in the lineout then.

Re: Zebre at home, 23 Oct. 19:35

Not interested..... I think they had 5 senior 9s when they went after McCarthy. They had to get rid of Parker to make space to go after a leinster tighthead. They had more 10s than us when to chased down Joey. That a quantity rather than quality issue. They therefore need to be a little more astute...

Re: Andy Farell's Reign of Terror

I know all the arguments but I really am disappointed to see so many non-Irish players in the Irish squad. Playing for your country internationally is more than a job and it lessens the integrity of the team as well as denying Irish players the opportunity to represent their country. I don’t buy th...

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October

If Stockdale plays next week (particularly at FB) we're screwed. He as good as told the French coaching ticket, come and exploit me and they will. Galtiere, Ibanez and Shaun Edwards, enough said. They'll exploit Sexton inability to react as quickly as he once could. The French defense are just going...

Re: Corona Virus

As predicted, the government decision on golf and tennis has unleashed the potential of c. 400,000 letter writers who were previously a largely supportive silent majority of sanity. Before this 6 weeks are finished Donnelly, Martin, Ryan and Varadkar are going to seriously regret pissing off a grou...

Re: Corona Virus

The logic as I understand it is : everything that's not essential to close with exceptions for elite sport where they are testing 2/3 times a week. The question I have is the elite gaa, are they testing like that too? (Note also exceptions for underage sport) Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk Th...

Re: Corona Virus

Nursing Home outbreak. As I understand it, a major contributory factor is due to the fact that frequent and regular testing had been suspended. The misunderstanding and misrepresentation of TaT is coming home to roost. Hospitals, Nursing Homes and schools (teachers in particular) should take priorit...

A rugby journalist has said to me that Leavy isn’t right after 19 months and Is very unlikely to make it all the way back as a player capable of playing week-in, week-out.

I hope he is very wrong.
Probably just a whiff of cordite.

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October

This might be more suited to the Friday's Rant thread, but it isn't Friday. I'm really sick of hearing people in the media talking up Simon Zebo and talking down the rule against picking foreign-based players. The amount of exaggeration and factual inaccuracy on RTÉ's rugby podcast was hugely irrit...

It is an amazing stat though, munster#1. Only POM and Murray from the Munster academy and they're over 30. Munster have obviously worked hard in underage development and we're starting to see the fruits of it now but it will take a while for that to transplanted to ireland. Same with Ulster, both p...

A certain class of gentleman, let's say bolshy, entitled and possibly attend the church of Clarkson, specifically the ones who park their autos in the P&K. I've given up on confronting them as I'm genuinely afraid of what I'll do/say/set on fire (insert as applicable). More often than not met with ...

Re: Corona Virus

I would have expected to be arguing with you on this but, yeah this seems like a flub. Masks seem to be taken as a bypass for social distancing. If they're going for a lockdown, then lock the f%~king thing right down for 3 weeks and show a strong plan for how we live with and manage from there. As ...
