Re: Fullback options going forward

Watching the Northampton v Leinster and England v Ireland games again one thing that sticks out is England's first try. Northampton tried something similar and it nearly came off. Wouldn't have happened in Rob's day. Rob, like Dempsey before him, has incredible positional sense. Keenan looks a more ...

Re: Corona Virus

NB The POLICE man is wearing a very effective mask, likely to protect him and anyone else he comes in contact with.
It can be done.

Re: Corona Virus

Meanwhile another Hospital comes up short. The most dangerous places to be in are the public hospitals. Followed by Nursing Homes. (Interesting that the management have started to talk about visiting restrictions again) Followed by meat factories - There's a story here, a big one. The Union shop ste...

Re: Corona Virus

Operation Pontius Pilate is under way in the three LOK counties. A bit like the nursing homes only worse because their can be no excuses this time round. The warning signs appear to have been ignored, again. An ex EAG member had a lot of interesting things to say about the LOK situation. However hi...

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

We've lost Tomane, McFadden and Salanoa and as a squad are weaker than last season. They've gained two world class, world cup winning boks, Salanoa and Gallagher, and as a squad are significantly stronger. They'll be missing Carbery but we'll be missing two of our three best forwards (Leavy, Ryan)....

Re: Corona Virus

In Ireland the number of Health Care workers contracting COVID has been consistently of the order of 32% of the total confirmed cases. This is somewhat surprising considering that at this point any missteps on the learning curve should be now firmly in the past. So why isn't it? Well a little stroll...

Re: Friday's rant

So 15/20% of Ireland's current COVID cases are due to travel.
Is it beyond the wit of our media to ask a simple question or a few simple questions even.
"What countries are the cases coming from"
"What is the breakdown of numbers per country"
"Are the cases visitors or returning citizens"

Re: Corona Virus

A very bad call on the wearing of masks was made early on. It can be argued that there were good reasons for it at the time. The really bad decision was to continue making that bad call when the reasons no longer pertained. The CMO should have come into every press conference wearing a mask and take...

The Lions tour is next year.
Yes, I know it’s next summer. Which is why it would be very hard to find a gap in the calendar.
I didn't mention finding a gap in the calendar, I merely wondered what team Farrell might have selected had the match gone ahead.

Aus v Irl Summer Tour 2020

Ireland were scheduled to play Australia.
Wonder what sort of a time would Farrell have started with and what the result would have been.
Think we'd have won in a tight game.
Healy Kelleher Furlong
Ryan Another
CJ Leavy Conan
Murray Byrne
Ringtone Farrell Henshaw Earls
Larmour
Bench to be announced.

Re: Corona Virus

Education. The stats indicate that children of school going age are at very low risk in relation to COVID. The teachers, depending on age, are at higher risk. That being the case, the issue is or should be about how to reduce the risk to them. This should be relatively easy to do for secondary schoo...
