Re: Corona Virus

So every expert I have read online has said that the Bojo strategy of allowing widespread infection in order to rush to a herd immunity is reckless. If you went to seek ethical approval for that experimental approach they would either: reject you out of hand; reject you out of hand and report you t...

Re: 6 Nations 2020

That's nice. But there's a written one that you don't grab someone's junk and that's the rule world rugby enforces.

Is it a controversial opinion to think that Ugo Monye is a genuine f%~king idiot? Here's his latest, but he's reliably wrong about everything. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/mar/14/level-of-inconsistency-over-joe-marlers-ban-for-an-act-without-malice PS Look up malice in a dictionary maybe? ...

Re: Corona Virus

Seems like Borris and team pushing the business as normal and its here so let's have it spread and develop herd immunity and yes a percentage of people die but thats triage. Very cold and calculated risks in the uk. Seem to be a real outlier in terms of approach and even scientifically there appear...

Re: 6 Nations 2020

Also we laugh and moan on here about the French tv directors seemingly being very one sided , who ever was controlling the replays of all the incidents in that game at the weekend definitely seemed to be under orders to keep the bad hits off the screens for as long as possible. The TMO has access t...

If Cheetahs no 8 could hold the ball in they should have had a penalty try long since.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Just watching last night's game and Hodnett was outstanding. Doesn't matter how bad Kings were, he was brilliant technically and with his work rate etc. Very intelligent player too, particularly at the breakdown. He really does play like SOB. Not as freakishly powerful but still very strong and wit...

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

Man city did a Saracens with their accounting.....banned for two years from the champions league. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/feb/14/manchester-city-banned-from-champions-league-two-seasons-ffp-uefa Sounds like they don't understand continental legal systems either. Their petulant sta...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

If I were in a disciplinary panel in Ireland, subject to judicial review, I would not feel confident that the high court wouldn't screw me on appeal if I had done this. And I'm genuinely not outraged, I didn't thi k it was a big deal but it is a pain that this sh!t follows Saracens around constantly...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

I'm not sure that's as persuasive a point as you think: breaking the law as well as the rules of the tournament doesn't make it better.

Anyway Racing don't seem to want to bring it to court. Looks like they'd have a case if they did.

Re: 6 Nations 2020

It's amazing that the wind didn't seem to be a factor in our game. Ah it did, every penalty was sent to the corner. Fair point. I suppose I was really referring to how it didn't make anyone look shite. And it was shite out there. But Scotland and England served up the particular kind of pie that Da...

Almost.
Don't think North would have been bounced by Henshaw 3 times before Larmour did him like a kipper though.

Re: Irl v Sco 6Ns 2020

Related - someone needs to have a word with French producers. This 'quirk' whereby they can only find camera angles that are beneficial to French teams has been going on for at least 13 years now. It's the same with stadium replays. The TMO should have a small team ensuring he gets every angle that...

Re: Irl v Sco 6Ns 2020

asking for them to be banned is only going to help teams against whom we will be competing. That would be my thinking. If they get away with head high hits on us, it's not our job to police them for everyone else's benefit. The issue with that is that it invites such behaviour onto us, as it isn't ...
