Re: Central Contracts
Surely every player who plays in Ireland is paid by the IRFU? Whether their wage is lodged to their account from the IRFU bank account or lodged to their account by the IRFU via a provincial bank account at the end of the day all funds come from the IRFU and therefore in effect every single player i...

No and apparently the Saints fans will have a 24 hour priority window on Thursday from 10am so I would have expected we would have at least the same?

Just watching the game back on RTE - Cahill is some idiot!!!
Lenihan mentioned that the semi final would be in Croke Park and Cahill said it would be great to see rugby back at GAA headquarters and then suggested the last time rugby was played there was the Ireland games in 2007!!!

Jeez, anyone know where ROG Is????? On the ferry to cherbourg Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk No one cares. He's had his 15 minutes. To be fair to him he was out on the pitch at the end and he shook hands with any of our players who walked past him - he actually had quite a long conversation wi...

Apart from Leo, Shane Jennings, Johnny and.......Fionn Carr I can't believe you forgot Jamie Hagan  Oh and Cian Kelleher Tbf, I’d imagine you’re one of the few to remember Cian Kelleher - is he doing the Leo the Lion gig now? I think Cian is still with Ealing Trailfinders and as to Leo - my u...

Is there any possibility we could have this thread merged with the Cian Healy - Legend thread which is already open? There's more information on his records and potential records in there.

Re: Leinster exiles, where are they.
Dunne is a big lad. But he's not really a Damien Browne, Jean Kleyn or Jason Jenkins tighthead lock. He's mobile and is more of a back on your feet quick player than a get your rest on the openside/scrumhalf type. Scarlets might go well for him. He's no all-action Beirne either though . To be fair ...

Re: Ulster 2023/24
I too was there at Aviva that day when the combined Leinster/Ulster team put Munster/ Connacht to the sword. Interesting to see that six of that squad went on to play for Ulster ( 5 home grown and Marty Moore) a great return on Ulster’s youth programme. There is no doubt that Marshall was the star ...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
Thats a pretty incendiary appointment considering that Dickson was one of the officials abused by Jonny after a match between these teams last year. Not only was JS banned but Leinster were fined €7,500 over the affair. This appointment puts Dickson in a pretty invidious position and piles totally ...

Re: Sevens
God rugby has some really stupid rules. France score a try with a second on the clock and opt to skip the conversion and take the restart but because it wasn’t the captain who told the referee they wanted the restart it wasn’t allowed - the captain couldn’t tell the referee because he was on the gro...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
P.S. In the Champions Cup the highest seeded team gets home advantage in the knock-outs so if Bulls and Munster both win their Round of 16 games, the quarter-final will be in Pretoria, not Limerick. You sure about that cormac. I thought if you beat a higher seeding you take their seeding (or the eq...

A tribute to the DJ, artist and knife maker who also dabbles in the odd game of rugby!! Church's appearance in the match on Saturday brought him to cap 400 (Ireland 129 and Leinster 271) - this makes him only the 3rd Irish player to reach a combined total of 400 caps for club and country (behind Str...
