Re: Wing going forward

Also to clarify. Both Knox and Salanoa are already qualified. So are not subject to 5 year rule. My point was that if we sign a project in the future it would have to be someone LIKE these 2. The Irfu took full advantage of the last year of the 3 year qualifying. These 2 plus Lowe, Butler and Cloete.

Re: Wing going forward

Is that really the extent of NIE players in the country? Eight across four provinces? Pretty much Ulster mathewson Faddes Cotzee Carter Munster Snyman De Alende Leinster Fardy Connacht Porch All NIE (Rather than NIQ) The 2 new signings for Connacht are Ben O'Donnell (Australian 7s player. Not sure ...

Re: Wing going forward

No one in the Irish system to take advantage afaik. Lowe, Butler and Cloete all qualify this year. Al 4 of Ulster's are NIE and both of Munster's. Fardy for us. Porch for Connacht Fainga'a would have been ok for connacht but he's gone. No one else in the system bar possibly a new signing or 2 for co...

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

Interestingly they start much earlier than us and have 4 games in August with a break from the 31st to our game on the 19th. We have 2 x interpros then a semifinal and potentially a final the following week (12th) then straight into Sarries on the 19th. Will they go off the boil with a break or will...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Assuming we win, you will then need an exception for another rugby team from a different jurisdiction the following week. A fair point well made. And if we won that too then yet another. Pro14 looks like Leinster v Munster and Embra v Ulster. Both semi finals in the same political jurisdiction. Sca...

I was just saying that they COULD. Not that they will. I think Doc's solution is better.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

They wouldn't have to do it in the middle of a game. Their last prem fixture is 31st of August. They have 3 days to get over here and isolate for 2 weeks.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

The prem are playing 4 rounds of their comp in August then nothing til October. Sarries could get over here and stay for 2 weeks if they needed.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

I think M1 was going from 12/13 to 18/19 as his 7 seasons. (cause he mentioned 19/20 as being 8 ) So last year of Joe. 2 years of Matt and 4 years of Leo.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

On paper Leinster should have at least 2 more wins under their belt, but sport isn’t won on paper. Based on what? Something you pulled out of the fork of your trousers? or licked your fingers and put them in the air? I don't see how anyone could claim that we "should" have any more or less HCs than...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Which other year are you writing off besides Matty? Leo's first?

In those 7 seasons, as well as a HC we won 4 leagues and an Amlin and lost 2 finals. It wasn't the worst slump in the world.
