Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
2017 : Narrative: Leinster disrespecting the fixture by sending a team of kids to be slaughtered at Thomond Park. The likes of Jordan Larmour, Ross Byrne, Jamison Gibson-Park and James Ryan (who all played that day) were clearly not ready but within a few months had all played for Ireland, many win...

Can’t be long now till we see Furlong back playing. https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/tadhg-furlong-set-for-return-to-rugby-after-lengthy-absence-1.4461616 It won’t be in time for this weekend’s Guinness Pro14 game against Munster at Thomond Park but McBryde didn’t rule out a potential involve...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
A limited player with 2 European cups and 5 pro14s medals in his pocket Probably more medals than your friends in Munster have in their whole squad... Are you equating that with him being a top class player, or are you saying that despite being a limited player he has had a successful career? I hav...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
In light of the generally negative tone of this thread I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks to the players and staff of Leinster Rugby and Ulster Rugby for delivering such an engaging and committed contest on a grim Winters night in the aul' town and during a pretty bleak period for humanity. La...

JVDF with a pass from the base that Peter Strnger would be happy to throw.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
Questions, questions, questions. Why Warwick ahead of O'Sullivan, who's on the bench? Why Jones ahead of Timoney, who's on the bench? Why McIlroy ahead of Gilroy, and why Moxham on the bench? Why Cronin instead of Kelleher? Why Jack Conan on the bench instead of DL - or just giving him a reason not...

It's just numbers on jerseys. Sexton and Byrne will interchange and Henshaw is playing 13.

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
No Irish provinces will be signing players from outside the system unless they are bargain basement and/or can potentially play for Ireland. Pro rugby has lost almost all its revenue. We probably could do with a hooker and maybe a 9 but unless fans are coming back soon we are more likely to see more...

Is it dark down there with your head in the sand? I suppose it has the benefit of keeping you safe from concussion.
Worse again is that the usual suspect (I'd love to pluralise it but he is in a league of his own) hailed this post as "a rational, mature assessment".

Interesting that McGrath is captain even though Sexton is starting.
In fact it's interesting that anyone other than the club captain is captain in a match where the club captain is starting.
Try saying that after 6 pints.

iv) In reality we all know Leo and Stu were up all night trying to come up with some reason to avoid this game as we were gonna get hammered. Ever since the Munster v Clermont game the 'rugby world' has reset and the blip in the space time continuum between 2008 and 2020 when Munster won shag all i...

The player who best fits the mould (McGrath, Moore, Murphy, Cooney, Madigan) for Ulster here is Conan.

Would probably make more sense to award the win to the team did not have Covid. This is unlikely to be the last postponement, and the season is already fairly condensed. So that’s 4/5 points to BOTH. Teams then ??? The fans of the team that doesn't win... Looks like we'll both be mowing Flanders' l...

I have Lowe to be sent off after 18 minutes by Murphy in the sweep . Joke before people start getting uppity. You're not allowed joke around here. The humour police will BR8 you unless the joke explicitly praises former pupils of......... ah, look, I'm not taking it down that road.

I don’t mind either really, just think it’s funny that legends is the name that you gave Munster. We didn't, though. We don't refer to Munster as "the legends", we reference the fact that Munster fans call every player to have been given a free tracksuit for turning up for Munster schoolboys a "leg...
