Re: Rumour Mill

Man City currently have 9 senior players out on loan I see, my point there is refuted. However are there many cases of actual loans happening in Irish rugby or rugby in general? The talk is generally for permanent moves to another province to further their career. Loans is very rare in Irish rugby....

Re: Leinster vs Benetton, Feb 17th, 2024

We seemingly have Ed Byrne, Milne, Boyle and McCarthy available. Who gets the #1 and #17 jersey should tell quite a bit. Will be interesting in particular if Milne gets the nod. If not, could be an indication he's off. I dunno, with that many available it could mean very little either way. Leinster...

Done. Never knew it was even an option, as they don't mention it and you have to go looking on Spotify. Such a contrast with the grifters from other provinces. They have it on their twitter feed but agree they don't overly push it. Sent from my LE2123 using Tapatalk I don’t really use Twitter anymo...

Speaking of selling out games, is there any indication as to when tickets for this game will be on sale?

Re: Rumour Mill

I assume the relevance is it's one of the few munster victories in Leinster? Sent from my SM-A528B using Tapatalk Well there was that TV documentary in 2014 about the Battle of Clontarf and in which the event was understood less as Gaels vs Norsemen and more as Munster vs Leinster. The program even...

Surely we can find an Irish granny for a fella called Sullivan? Or perhaps he's from the Monsters, Inc. wing of the family?

Re: Leicester v Leinster Sat 20th 3.15 TNT Sports

I had to jump on again because as someone who still reads the site it gets on my wick that the same poster who was responsible for all these comments (last one stands out in particular given the Molony chat) constantly calls out other fans for their lack of respect towards players. I tried to ignor...

Re: RG Snyman to move to Leinster

Article in The Irish Times about Peter O'Mahony becoming a free agent. While we are in the mood for trolling our Southern cousins, this would be an amazing signing. We don't particularly need him, we may not even want him, but the meltdown would be incredible. "With the money freed up by Caelan...

Planning on heading to this. Any idea where the OLSC will designate before/after the match as a meeting pub/point? I can't seem to be able to access the away guides for any previous fixture on the Leinster Rugby website. They really need to tidy up the back end of the site. Jayziz...we're not there...

Re: Darcy: Schools system seems to be coaching the flair out of Leinster’s backs

D'Arcy is an interesting one. He came through just as the provinces went pro and was in this special generation of pros who only had to push out amateurs. He was around a long time. He was a super player and is a good pundit, I'd take him seriously. If I disagree I'd want to check first. The game h...

Re: Darcy: Schools system seems to be coaching the flair out of Leinster’s backs

Schools rugby teams play risk-averse rugby for the most part, at least in cup matches. It’s knockout rugby and focusing on eliminating errors and putting pressure on the opposition is usually unfortunately the best way to increase your chances of winning. Offloads are actively discouraged by most t...

Matt O Connor - Kept the Schmidt show going with an URC win.
That's kind. Perhaps "Enjoyed enough legacy from the Schmidt era to win the Pro 14, before missing the playoffs for the first and, so far, only time in our history. Swiftly replaced."

Re: Munster Away on Stephens Day. 7:35pm

Just saw the Clark shoulder-to-head smash on McCarthy. How it's not a penalty is baffling. It probably should have been yellow, at least. So so dangerous. I wonder if it factored into the ref's thinking that Clark was the replacement hooker and it would have meant Munster having to take off another ...

Whatever about O'Connor, Shaggy was on Second Captains, also arguing that we shouldn't be allowed to sign Snyman. Apparently because we got to the final without him. A combination of self loathing and hypocrisy: Shaggy would have zero stars were it not for hired help in the form of Rocky, the Man f...

Makes no difference what team you send down, they can only beaten by the ref and their own errors. Then you have demographics and the D4meeja. Don't forget the advantage of private schools, which neglects to take account of the fact that (deep breath) Archer, Jager, Knox, Loughman, Ryan, Wycherly x...
