Looks like Ringer could be back for Sat according to press today.
Not sure I'd start him, Frawley/Henshaw would be my choice, probably with JOB on the bench.
But good to have the option.

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
A lot of pre-emptive excuse making going on!
I think I can sense people being more fearful of Munster than we have been for a while.
Really looking forward to this one. We’ll need to step things up quite a bit.

Re: Barry Daly
Yep, in fact the career of Irish rugby's greatest ever player is just one example that disproves that particular theory Munster #1. Considering Munster #1 said " may never get the chance" - 1 example does not disprove his theory! But I reckon he was referring more to the current set up rather than ...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
I do hope Adam Byrne gets another year contract btw.
He has been hugely unlucky with injuries but he could still be a very useful weapon for us.
I just hope he has spent the last year closely studying DK and his defensive approach.

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Possibly, but at the same time he's a 26 year old with a significant amount of rugby under his belt - 54 appearances for Connacht and 20 for Leinster - so there's likely diminished scope for further improvement than with someone with less exposure. It's hard to see him any higher than third choice ...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
I would imagine we'll see: Fardy & Cronin move on. Bent & Toner be given another one year contract. Deegan/Conan move north. Adam Byrne be given another year contract if he can get fit before end of the season. Don't think we'll see any incomings unless we bring in a IQ THP from somewhere to act as...

What is our head coach doing other than the lineout?!

Re: Leinster A '20-21'
In a weird way, it's pretty interesting how a lineout unit can go so spectacularly wrong at a whole club like this. Seems to have been a gradual decline and all of a sudden things have gone to pot. It's contagious! We seem to have no hooker who can throw into a lineout consistently and no semblance ...

Re: Leinster A '20-21'
It really was men against boys in the backline. We had skinny guys who looked fresh out of 6th year (because some of them are) coming in, Ulster had a few proper units.
Disappointed with Baird, didn't really show up.

Re: Leinster A '20-21'
Patterson reminds me a bit of JGP when he arrived. Nice break, quick pass but no kicking game and very loose.
To my untrained eye though he (and maybe Osborne) has looked the best of our four young 9s when I've seen him, admittedly not a huge amount.

Max O'Reilly is a very slippery player. Seems to be able to get out of tough scenarios.

Alex Sanderson has taken over at Sale.
They'd be a far tougher opponent than Glos I'd say.

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
I was talking about Ronan Kelleher there, who has imo regressed quite a bit from his performances at the start of last year, certainly in terms of confidence. As for the rest I'm not saying these guys have 'regressed' just that many were putting in equal if not better performances last year. Doris ...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
Jaysus there's a lot of stretching there RTB. Don't know how you can say our squad has improved 'substantially' when we've lost depth through leavers and injuries and were down to academy players in the backs for a few games. A lot of the guys you mention there were arguably in better form last yea...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
This is a very subjective topic but Leiinster have certainly added / developed a number of players in their Squad during the Season so far: Hugo Keenan and Jimmy O'Brien at full-back are both vastly improved; Cian Kelleher's improvement and Dave Kearney's return to form are both notably additions T...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
I think it's a fair comment to say we've probably gone backwards slightly and Munster have progressed.
I think we're still clearly the best side on the island, but in a one off game that gap can be bridged.

Re: Leinster A '20-21'
Bit of a shame that Jack Dunne hasn't/won't get more game time at senior level this season.
Would've been perfect to integrate him in some of those 6N time Pro14 games. Hopefully he gets a bench spot at least.
