Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
Fair play to Rob Baxter, always thought he was brilliant. A man of pure class who plays by the rules and brings a team like Exeter from literaly nothing to european glory, and atm punching well above his weight, even stripped of all the players he developed. Should have gotten the England job imo, ...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
Priceless stuff. Leinster replace Ngatai with Barrett so.... Waterfordlad I've been a member of Irish Rugby Supporters Club since 2008, mainly for access to tickets/events. No more, I'm done. The power of one. It's a small thing at 50 euros a year but I'm quitting on principle. I'll still support M...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
Now that you say it, Jordie Barrett Leinster jerseys could be quite a money-spinner.... Take that into account and even another is say Leinsters link with Syracuse university, again nothing to back this up but its not unthinkable that there has been an additional 1,000 jerseys sold into the US (Or ...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
Fair enough. I do believe we get some prize money for semi final and final appearances. It's worth noting that we pay rent for Aviva appearances but that money goes to the IRFU so probably puts us in their good books. Another valid point but I’d imagine there’d be a decent income on concessions, me...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
While I generally agree with you there's revenue sharing for champions cup knockout games 65/35 after costs in favour of the home team if they leave their regular stadium to go to a bigger venue. I thought of that but I'm sure we get some sort of fee for a home Semi Final (47k attendance), and for ...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
The very significant overlay on the top of attendances are commercial revenues. Sponsorship deals and commercial partnerships are significantly higher for Leinster - in many sports this is the bigger component of sporting income. Which all supports your point on the IRFU influence. Not at all sayin...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
A lot of comments are making the assumption that the IRFU are funding this when in honesty 90% of the rugby public don’t have a clue (me included), but that aside who is to say this isn’t privately funded like marque signing in the past in Munster and Ulster, I’m fairly sure there are private invest...

Re: Champions cup draw …..
Even a win though they’d end on 9 I think with better points difference than Leicester but worse than Munster so I think it’d make it Toulouse vs racing Leinster vs Leicester Northampton vs sarries Bordeaux vs Munster sorry, you're right. would be nice if sarries win...leicester at home I would lik...

Re: Champions cup draw …..
If sarries win with a bonus point they would put Connacht out and move racing, Leicester and Munster down one. Meaning Toulouse vs racing Leinster vs Leicester Northampton vs Munster Assuming Toulouse win tomorrow and barring a freak result in sale vs La Rochelle yep. that's right. unlikely sarries...

Re: Champions cup draw …..
ROC saying leinster munster in last 16. ERC website says: 2.5 Four match points will be awarded for a win, two match points will be awarded for a draw. A bonus point will be awarded to a club scoring four or more tries and to a club losing by seven points or fewer. If two or more clubs in the same ...

Re: Champions cup draw …..
Assuming Toulouse win tomorrow, it looks like they'll play Racing 92 (8 pts) and we'll play Munster or Sarries, depending on their resuly against Lyon tonight (4 pt win gives them 9 pts, same as Munster, BP win for them means we definitely face Munster). If Sarries only get one point, they'll pip C...

Re: Champions cup draw …..
You are right but if Saracens beat Lyon with a bonus point they will finish on 10 pushing Munster down to 15 seed and Leicester (unless theres a Sale La Rochelle draw) down to 16th seed. Racing are 16th seed regardless of any possible results Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk No Racing are ahead ...

Re: Champions cup draw …..
I think most likely Unless Toulouse bottle tomorrow top 3 seeded matches will be Toulouse vs Racing Leinster vs Leicester Northampton vs Munster The remaining can change a lot with remaining games but the top 3 and bottom 3 teams are close to been confirmed unless there is a freak result like sale w...

Re: Leinster V Toulouse Semi Final
Speculation on our team for Saturday seems very limited. Is this because there is an automatic assumption that there are no changes anticipated from the team against Leicester, other than Jimmy O'Brien for injured James Lowe. Personally I wonder whether now is the time that Leocaster will unveil Ja...

Re: Leinster V Toulouse Semi Final
Looks like Toulouse's side is pretty set according to their fan's forum: Baille, Mauvaka, Aldegheri, Arnold, Meafou, Flament, Willis, Cros, Dupont, Ntamack, Lebel, Ahki, Barassi, Mallia, Ramos Big question is will Marchand be fit to bench and will they go for a 6/2 split (likely given Capuozzo / Ja...

Re: Michael Alaalatoa signs for Leinster
Would worry me someone is looking at Porter, also bent retiring I would guess. I would of thought we could potentially use back up at loosehead, second row (if fardy or toner go) and maybe centre before tighthead with (furlong, Porter, abaladze, Clarkson, McGrath) Can he play loose? Or Porter switch...
