Re: Two Leinster players test positive for Covid-19

The club had a good clear run, and deserve great credit for that. Hopefully the two players aren’t too unwell. Haven’t heard of any rugby player (in the UK or France) that was seriously ill. https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/stade-francais-players-showing-lung-lesions-due-to-covid-19-1.4334163

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1

@Blueberry got closest with his first para. 110,000 tests done this week and huge pressure on results from HSE on all PCR testing venues to prioritise HSE results over private Tests, paricularly because of the variant. Pro14 has black and white protocol about dates and times for Test results submis...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21

With the likely cost saving measure to include reduction in employees, all four provinces will be forced to look at positions where they are over stocked. Leinster are likely to lose Toner and Fardy at the end of the season, so I’d be surprised if any other second rows are let go, but backrow and p...

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM

Arguably the worst ref decision in recent times.....still struggling to understand mind you what Drico and Hartley were blathering on about in the commentary box.....trying to find someway to justify it Imo the answer is Money. BOD has to pander to the paying public who pay his wages. Nobody on BT ...

Happy Christmas

Folks I hope you are all in good form. I feel just wishing you all a Merry Christmas kinda falls short this year so please indulge me. In my hallway I store my flag poles and my flags. The flagpoles are in their bag wedged between the doorframe and my hall table. The flags live in a ball under the t...

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

Reports say BT have told senior staff, BOD etc, that their £40M/year offer to the Prem has been turned down and it's going elsewhere. Blockhead is on Santas naughty list for telling lies   https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/55369462#:~:text=Premiership%20Rugby%20has%20agreed%20a,it%20f...

Funny how we've gone from sponsors telling the IRFU to ditch players to avoid tainting the brand to journalists ditching the sponsor's name... https://www.the42.ie/ulster-toulouse-5295391-Dec2020/ Andrew Trimble reflects on the Ulster glory days and predicts another unforgettable night at Ravenhill...

Re: Friday's Rave

Not sure Neil Armstrong would quite see it that way. I have it in the back of my head that Armstrong pulled rank and swapped seats with Aldrin so he would be first out of the lunar capsule (of course I 'think' I read this years ago so it might not be true). Neil Armstrong's motive for pulling rank ...

Re: Away to Scarlets, 29/11, Sunday @ 5.15pm

Just thinking.... With the Connacht match postponed too why not play a friendly between Leinster and Connacht. Might help with fulfilling broadcast\marketing contracts etc and give lads a run out. Or just play the league fixture now that would otherwise have been played later in the season. Having ...

People who say 'form is temporary, class is permanent' when talking about sports people.

If it is true we should start Darcy and BOD tonight in the centre with ISA at fullback.

Considering if finished 3-6 and was played in what from the start at least were atrocious conditions, Scarlets v Edinburgh was a really enjoyable game to watch Glad I was not the only one. I think I enjoyed it because the close score gave every phase a certain jeopardy. What did you think of the Re...

Re: MNR: Glasgow away, 2nd Nov, 8.15pm

Don't suppose there's any chance of players not required for the France trip being released back to us for this match? That fact we're not playing till Monday might help. I wonder would we train over the weekend? That would allow some integration. Seeing as they may need be involved on Saturday it ...

Re: Connacht 2019/20/21

Connacht have scored 3 trys and with 36 minutes gone are 23 - 7 ahead. The first try by Blade is a contender for try of the season. Great individual try. The second try was created by great link play and a wonderful kick through. Third try was great too. Line out turnover in their own half some grea...
