Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport

There is an issue with players leaving Ulster primarily to go to Scotland (university is free there unlike England) and the IRFU/Ulster really need to think about an Exiles base and structure in Scotland. University isn't free for those from England, Wales or NI: https://www.study.eu/article/tuitio...

Brace very reluctant to give a card there. That's two in the space of a few minutes and his mitigations don't actually apply to the high tackle framework

But at this stage it feels like it is purely for the entertainment of watching the games rather than the merit of actually supporting the best team
So what's different for a Munster supporter?

Any and all games have merit, and the broadcasting money is required for the survival of the game.

Is the inability to develop top level hookers and scrumhalves linked to poor kill development in the province, both at lineout throwing and scrumhalf passing?
Change province to country and you'd be more correct. Top level players in these positions have either been flukes or imports.

3 weeks for Mr Woods. So I wonder does anyone in authority go back to the referee and say "eh.... what were you thinking"?
Supposedly, yes. But as there's no transparency.. who knows.

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM

Alex Cobisiero has a good series of tweets about how Leinster's scrum has changed since the Saracens game. https://twitter.com/AlexCorbs/status/1340298962717323264?s=19 https://twitter.com/AlexCorbs/status/1340691186068168706?s=19 Certainly could highlight why our squad players who have had plenty o...

Jesus...that’s some collapse. Not the best cameo from Rea with his knock on and the penalty.

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM

Keep hearing how great the Ireland second row will be when it comprises James Ryan and Ryan Baird but on recent evidence they can't even provide a reliable line out for Leinster. I agree, add that to the performance of essentially the Ireland front and second row at scrumtime... The scrum which was...

Baird has a nice edge to his game.
A tackle milliseconds late you can't have, but shoulders to heads and no arm tackles are fine.

“There is no foul play”. What the fûck?
I'll be very surprised if he isn't cited for that.
Hopefully the ref too for a lack of regard to player safety

Looked like a red from the second viewing too. How is a shoulder to a stationary head not even a penalty?

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM

Think things will be a lot easier in the second half, Saints clearly had the wind at their back.

Surprised that the ref didn't go penalty try for the offside and held up on Porter at the end. If the player wasn't offside it's doubtful he would have held up Porter.
