I'd start Benty, it's a great opportunity for him to show his worth to Andy Farrell. He won't disappoint.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
In light of the generally negative tone of this thread I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks to the players and staff of Leinster Rugby and Ulster Rugby for delivering such an engaging and committed contest on a grim Winters night in the aul' town and during a pretty bleak period for humanity. Lad...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
Interested to see how Fardy and Cronin go tonight. Two guys nearing the end who haven't had much impact this season. Cronin looked good last week coming on and lineout will be under less pressure hopefully. Fardy has been pretty quiet for a while and looks to be showing his age, but has had a good ...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
Ulster coach Dan McFarland rejects suggestion that Leinster are vulnerable ‘Winning away in Dublin, in and of itself , is something that you would aspire to’ Describing anything as 'in and of itself' really grips my grinner. Unnecessary verbosity in my opinion although, in fairness, I'm still trying...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
If we can field an actual fly half and an actual eight, plus harness the backlash emotion (a bluelash perhaps?) of loosing to Connacht, we can send the Ulstermen home with nothing to show for their efforts. If not, we may be in trouble.

Re: Leinster v Connacht Sat 2nd 19.35 Eir Sport
We were particularly poor, for numerous reasons. Worryingly not all of those reasons can be put right by Friday night and the visit of Ulster.

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
2017 : Narrative: Leinster disrespecting the fixture by sending a team of kids to be slaughtered at Thomond Park. The likes of Jordan Larmour, Ross Byrne, Jamison Gibson-Park and James Ryan (who all played that day) were clearly not ready but within a few months had all played for Ireland, many win...

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
Keep hearing how great the Ireland second row will be when it comprises James Ryan and Ryan Baird but on recent evidence they can't even provide a reliable line out for Leinster.

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21
The sport desperately needs the TV revenue so it just has to adapt and carry on, much like every other organisation on the planet at the moment. This will potentially effect the Pro thingy and 6N in the same way, so cancelling is not an option. The whole circus, for that is what it is, should move ...

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
Today, our best front row appears to be `Dooley, Tracy, Bent.
Our best second row line up has Devin Toner in it and our best back row has Rhys and Doris in it.
Our best back line is O'Brien Keenan and Dave.
Some '1st' choice players have work to do.

Re: EUROPEAN CUP R1: Montpellier Away, 12/12, 6.30pm
Good European debut from Frawley. With Kelleher at hooker we appear to only seem to throw to either 1 (Luke who spilled it!) or 2 in the line out or a complete overthrow - very predictable. Another kick fest for long periods tho. Some of the scrum and breakdown decisions were a complete toss of the ...

Re: EUROPEAN CUP R1: Montpellier Away, 12/12, 6.30pm
As much as I like Frawley, I would be nervous about starting at 12 away to Montpellier, for the first time with Sexton(?), with two rookies (JOB and Keenan). If neither Lowe nor Ringer makes it, I would probably for ROL. I'm not sure Keenan can be classified as a rookie any more. He's had a lot of ...

Re: EUROPEAN CUP R1: Montpellier Away, 12/12, 6.30pm
Team for next week for me: Healy, Tracy, Porter, Ryan, Toner, Ruddock, VDF, Doris, McGrath, Byrne, Lowe, Frawley, Henshaw, DK, Keenan, Kelleher, Dooley, Bent, Baird, Leavy, Fardy, JGP, JOB Assuming Lowe is fit and Ringer isn't. I like the look of that team especially the back row although, for me, ...
