Re: Injuries

Can anybody confirm whether Ross Moloney is injured or not? Otherwise Mick Kearney must have jumped over him in the pecking order. If he is injured we are getting very low on our 2nd row assets especially if Scott Fardy needs to be used in the back row given our injuries to experienced flankers.

Re: Leinster v Toulouse

"Toner of the three is the one I'd least like to lose" Oldschool commented and I'd agree but Toulouse may have their problems at lock too. Tekori seemed to have a knock when he came off in the 55th min against Agen. He was replaced by Fa'asalele who had only been called in at the last minute when Ga...

Re: Joe Tomane

Is Tomane's rugby nationality not based on the country he played for, I.e. Australia rather than the country for which he holds a passport ? If so, it does create a 4 into 2 does not go scenario in respect of Leinster's NIQs.

Re: Draw for H Cup / Champions Cup 2019

Edinburgh and Gloucester appear to be missing from the pools as set out above is there a reason for this?

Re: Connacht vs. Leinster, 28/04/2018, 15.05 IST

I was at the match at the Sportsground and I don't think the problem was with the guys who were playing. Just as for the Benetton match there was a huge lacking in leadership on the park. Jack Mc Grath is a great loose head but is not captain material and neither is Ross Moloney. If Isa, Johnny or S...

Re: Connacht vs. Leinster, 28/04/2018, 15.05 IST

We still need a point from this game and if we put out a team similar to what played against Treviso, we may not get it. In particular we need some guys to lead against Connacht. Jack McGrath and Ross Moloney failed to do this versus B.Treviso. If Luke McGrath and Jack Conan are in the team we shoul...

Re: Leinster v Saracens

I can't believe the amount of negativity there is about getting Saracens in the quarter final. To me this is the ideal time to get them at home. Their whole team is built around just four players; the 2 Vunipolas, Farrell & Itoje. Wiggleworth is a pretty good scrum half too but we have the back row ...

You haven't included Max Deegan with the Academy. Has he been given a Senior contract?

Re: James Lowe signs for Leinster

James Lowe has confirmed that he will be playing for Tasman in the Mitre 10 cup. This competition runs to the end of October so it seems unlikely he'll be playing for Leinster in the first rounds of the European competition. Hopefully he can at least stay healthy until he gets here.

Re: Academy 2017/2018

What has happened to David O'Connor? Has he been summarily dumped by Leinster? I wonder will Ulster go after him given the success they've had with his brother Alan.

Re: Leinster Senior Squad 2017/2018

Senior squad has been updated on Leinster site but Mike Ross is still included. Presumably we can't expect to see Tadgh Furlong until well in to the new season. Could Mike have been given a short term contract?

Re: Ospreys v Leinster Sat 3pm - Live on Sky

Certainly believe that Joey should continue as full back, ideally with same wingers. Byrne for No. 10, if J10 not available. Need to get forwards who may be required, gametime at this standard. It's now getting important to ensure that guys covering key positions have quality preparation. Possibly:...

GG has Charlie Rock been given a senior contract as well as Nick McCarthy? At least the "famine" of only having two scrum halves seems to be over.

Re: Possible golden generation

There is now a very strong possibility that James Ryan may have to retire altogether from rugby. His injury is similar to Paul O'Connor's career ending one. It would be an absolute tragedy for someone so young as Ryan who has looked a fantastic prospect since his early schooldays in Michaels. He see...

Re: Outhalf crisis

I think Mallinder will tell Callum Clarke, Wood, Picamoles (if he plays) et al to go after Ross Byrne from the start and try to put him out of the game. If this happens early on Leinster have to decide do we put Isa in to 10 and bring on O'Loughlin or replace Byrne with Noel Reid? Personally, I'd br...

Re: Rumour Mill

Lancaster may be waiting for the Sale job to come up. Manchester would be a very comfortable commute from Leeds and expectations there wouldn't be as high as Northhampton or Bristol and their fans would take to a Northern much more than the midlanders or West Country crowd.
