Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

We've lost Tomane, McFadden and Salanoa and as a squad are weaker than last season. They've gained two world class, world cup winning boks, Salanoa and Gallagher, and as a squad are significantly stronger. They'll be missing Carbery but we'll be missing two of our three best forwards (Leavy, Ryan)....

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

I'd be very surprised if Leavy was selected for this one. Not sure we'll see much of him until the new season starts.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

They can still field a very strong first XV (assuming everyone's fit) but they've lost a lot of strength in depth in quite a few positions.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Abdaladze's continuing injury problem is a cause for concern. Not so much for the conclusion of the current season but if it persists into the following season then we'll be short-staffed at THP once Furlong and Porter are called up for international games.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news but sexton has injured his calf in training now too. Will be very difficult to beat Saracens now. https://www.sportsfile.com/more-images/2007093/#12 Doesn't look like someone carrying a calf injury in the photos linked. Can't see James Ryan in there but maybe...

That projected year 3 looks a bit weak on paper doesn't it? Probably only Milne likely to make it from that crop? Albeit in reality it's because there's been quite a few early promotions? Here's the list that Leinster announced for that group two years ago (Hawkshaw must have been added subsequentl...

Interesting to note that New Zealand are returning this weekend with full stadiums. Now I understand that they're currently operating with very different conditions than we currently are (no covid cases in NZ at the moment) but it could indicate that if we can get to that level of containment that w...
