Re: 8 Nations 2020

that is a heck of a lot of international rugby this autumn. Both fiji and japan are tough tests on top of the English & Welsh. Happy to hear rugby is coming back but won't most clubs lose their top players for almost 2 months (two 6N games in oct for us and then the 8N)? ...maybe most Irish clubs co...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Updated Sarries squad on Wiki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saracens_F.C.#cite_note-Saracens_-_Senior_Squad-53 Still a formidable first XV but they are much weaker depth wise, particularly in the backline. That starting backline isn't anything to fear either. Team should look something like: Mako...

Re: covid19 rugby rules

Worth pointing out that these proposed law changes are; a) optional b) temporary c) highly unlikely to be adopted in professional leagues (NZRFU and PRL have already said they won't be adopting any of these changes) Makes sense for NZ Rugby not feeling the need to apply the optional rules....they a...

Re: covid19 rugby rules

Orange Card one is interesting. Basically a player suspected of a dangerous high tackle is sinbinned for 15 minutes and the incident is reviewed during that time by the ref and TMO. If it is deemed a red card, then the player doesn't return. If only a YC say, then they return to the pitch after the...

On rule 4. Currently if attacking team are held up over the line a 5 metre scrum is awarded. When defenders or mass of bodies get under ball. Now instead there will be a drop-out, akin to the 22 Drop-out from when the ball goes over dead-ball line. But the restart kick will be from or behind the go...

8 groups of 3, 4 group games. Top 2 go through to round of 16. QF, SF, F Less gimmes against poor teams. More knockout games. Less weekends overall. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk that makes sense heno. I thought they would do 6 groups of 4....but 8 groups of 3...yeah. I think you will still ...

Re: Pro14 season suspended

Maybe come up with some new trophy like a league leaders shield or something, but being just awarded the title would be a bit meaningless, for me. We should really have a 'minor premiership' type trophy anyways, based on final, integrated, league positions Playoffs are bullshit for a league anyway,...

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

It seems that the Welsh Regions want to join the breakaway English clubs to form an Anglo Welsh League. This would be devastating for the Pro14. The Welsh eh? The entire nation has Stockholm syndrome. Everytime it's mentioned (possiblilty of joining the english clubs) they swoon. At least play hard...
