Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
They didn't have a game last weekend. Hysterical fans gonna hysteria. I wouldn't take them seriously. Rowntree is creating positive vibes and actually won a trophy, but results otherwise have been poor. He's immune. Anger has to be routed elsewhere. fair points. We worked hard, very hard, at the ea...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
did the outrage over central contracts start after Sheehan got his CC or after Barrett chose to come to Ireland, instead of France or Japan for his sabbatical? I didn't notice much grumblings about Sheehan getting his CC. It's fully deserved. He's a class player for Leinster & Ireland. Certainly...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
Baxters comments are spot on. Echoes what Jim Hamilton and others are saying about the Barrett move. the different reactions so far: WOW! What a signing! Fair play. Why don't we do that? Fuxache! That's it! I'm cancelling my Irish Rugby Supporter membership and never going to an Irish rugby game ev...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
We have an odd attitude to money in Ireland and Irish rugby - maybe it's a societal thing - I don't know. Even when we want to talk down another club, the first thing we go for is financial, 'a chequebook coach', 'mercenaries', and comparisons to Toulon have all been used in the last few days It's ...

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May
The Hill will be packed and the stands will be half empty bit of a joke by EPCR novelty of croker might tempt more to go but I think you're right. if they don't get a full house, their price policy (only dropping prices on cat4) will be embarrassing and not good optics for the competition on telly....

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May
what's the cross over now between Dublin GAA & Leinster fans?
I saw quite a few Dublin and Wicklow GAA tops sitting around me at the challenge cup final last year in Dublin, which turned out to be leinster fans who had weekend tickets (same seat for both finals).

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
thought Ross's performance on saturday puts him in strong contention for the Irish 10 jersey. happy to be proven wrong but Farrell is big on merit based selections.

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
Can’t see much point in that signing at all. We need, in that order, a second row, wing and tighthead. With Henshaw, Ringrose, Osborne, Turner, Frawley, JOB, Keenan and some good academy prospects, I can’t see the point in signing at 12/15. It’s a hell of a lot of money for not much need. However, ...

Re: Rumour Mill
Barrett is a FB isn’t he? Don’t really understand why we’ve signed him as we have Keenan, Frawley and JOB who can play FB and Wing. Would have thought that we have a more pressing need at THP in the light of Alalatoa’s impending departure. Jordi is the ultimate unity player: full back, centre, out ...

Re: Rumour Mill
If you wanted short term cover to compensate for the loss of any of those players, you literally couldn't sign a better player than Jordie Barrett 100% agree with this. So many key players gone during 6N. JB's mainly been an inside centre but can play FB, OH and sometimes on the wing . fantastic si...

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May
EPCR have set their prices for Leinster’s Champions Cup semi-final against Northampton at Croke Park on average at €10 lower than was the case for the clash between Leinster and Toulouse at the same juncture at the Aviva Stadium last season. The average price for a ticket for last year’s semi-final...

You can boo Keatley your own player but don't boo Roggie. They have been called out for hypocrisy on booing. Munster fans need to reel their necks in a little. https://i.ibb.co/Kx2qpWz/image.png https://www.balls.ie/rugby/ian-keatley-reveals-profound-effect-booed-munster-fans-personal-life-362409

There is a new proposal for 2028 is the 8 teams that make it to the quarter finals of the champions cup will join 8 teams from outside Europe to compete in a World Championship Eight teams from the Champions Cup will qualify for the new global event, six from Super Rugby and two more, probably from ...
