Re: La Rochelle v Leinster Sunday 3.15 TNT Sports
ROG has clearly set a tone in their club for complaining to the officials, and the players have taken it up as well. Carley was very patient with their continuous moaning.

Re: Pro14 Conferences 2019/20 and 2020/21
We'll have a bit more competition for the top slot in the Conference, and the home Semi, if nothing else.

Re: European Rugby Champions Cup
With only one round of the Pro14 left, and 2 rounds to go in the AP and Top 14, it looks like there will be lots of 'new' faces in next years ERCC. I make it seven of this years 20 teams dropping out. Definitely gone are Clermont, Harlequins, Northampton and Bath. Along with them, we won't see 2 of ...

If we did get to play Clermont in the final, and win, we would have Beaten the current Top 14 leaders (home and away) Beaten the current English Premiership leaders, and reigning English Premiership Champions (home and away) Beaten the current Pro 14 leaders (home and away) Beaten the reigning Hein...

FFS, now I have a Soprano's craving. Just have to find some excuse to get the wife and kids out of the house for the weekend for a box-set marathon.

Re: James Lowe signs for Leinster
Can see why he's being managed
Chiefs had 15 Super Rugby games, and according to stats on one website he played 1212 minutes (80+minutes per game) Tasman had 10 games in the Mitre10 Cup, so assume he played all of those too, so has 25 games under his belt since February.

Re: James Lowe signs for Leinster
To be fair, I've never seen him wear anything other than the No 11 shirt all season for the Chiefs. He'd burn anyone on a 50 metre chase up the wing and has made a lot of well known players look very slow in the 5/6 games I've seen this year. Very like Isa in his positioning, and knowing when to com...

I think it was always Nigel's gig, irrespective of the teams involved. He has a speaking engagement in Dublin on Friday that's been on the cards for a while. Not sure how these things get set up, but assume he knew he was going to be in town anyway when he booked it.

Dave, give us a break, I'm not a complete numpty. Are you saying the pricing for the same seats will be different when the participating teams allocation comes available on Saturday/Sunday.

Pro 12 Final, Aviva Stadium, 27th May 2017
I know its a Final, but the ticket pricing for next week is off the wall. Tickets for last weeks Champions Cup Final were cheaper, and I've been to Ireland Internationals against Tier1 teams for less. Ticketb*stards want €303 for 4 tickets in BLK517 in South Stand Upper. After being at every home ga...

Doubt we'll see many 'first choice' players for either of these games, but would you still bet against us!Grumpy Old Man wrote:We have a five day turnaround between European SF and Glasgow game and then we're away to an Ulster team who will be looking to cement a Top 4 position. Neither will be easy.

My Irish is fairly limited, but did the older of th two TG4 analysts say before the game that we had picked our B&I Cup team?

I'm amazed the pitch held up as "well" as it did today. Here's hoping for no more rain for the next 2weeks! Has Scotland ever gone that long without rain?? ON the same subject, the groundstaff in the RDS do an amazing job keeping the pitch is perfect condition every winter. The pitch on S...

Re: More World Cup Call ups
I would have thought Ferg was also in with an outside chance of the Payne 'spot'. Of the 3 or 4 backs left out of the final RWC squad, he has the broadest positional skill-set, which seems to be one of Joe's selection criteria.

What style of rugby are we going to see from Leo's Leinster this season. Forward focused, kicking focused or passing focused. Over the last 2 years there was a huge difference in playing styles between our first team and the "A" team, coached by Girv. The "A"'s stuck to the prov...
