Re: Leinster v Salarysins

I heard the whole squad got injured in a banana boat incident - they have to use the sub-academy for the Sarries game....
I'm afraid we're goosed...

Re: 2000/21 Membership

I've emailed to see if I can have the credit re-applied, didn't realise membership was going to be so costly if you wanted multiple tickets.

Re: 2000/21 Membership

I suspect they are looking to limit the nu. With 12k ST's, they probably want to only have 6k - 8k take-up. If supporters are allowed back, they wouldn't be able to let in all season ticket holders. They are guaranteeing ST's the ability to renew when back to normal. So I'd view this membership as ...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Look you can keep quoting that number, but as I’ve outlined above it’s pretty meaningless. The wider point is apt, but that specific maths is so absent of any context as to make it worthless. Once again, exactly. No matter how many times you repeat the same thing, it's still nonsense in the absence...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

I am glad that this has now been discussed. I am in no way trying to claim that Munster are the model citizen, but at least by laying out the facts, it might take another bullet out of the gun when shots are fired. Comparing like with like, then all of Leinster’s games should be played in the Aviva...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Great research Xan. Part of me is hoping the similarities in the numbers might stop the ‘my province is better than your province’ nonsense but I’m not holding my breath Brilliant research! At the risk of starting another willy waving contest, but I'll say it anyway, the trend is probably more pert...

Re: Leinster Rugby Cancels Season Tickets for 2020-21

Hats off to Leinster Rugby and Mick Dawson. They are going above and beyond the call of duty here. The partial refund on the season tickets is a very generous gesture - I had it written off. Fully understand the decision and support the decision to refund the one off tickets as that is very straigh...

Re: Pro14 season suspended

Maybe come up with some new trophy like a league leaders shield or something, but being just awarded the title would be a bit meaningless, for me. We should really have a 'minor premiership' type trophy anyways, based on final, integrated, league positions Playoffs are bullshit for a league anyway,...

Raelene Catle has resigned https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2020/0424/1134520-rugby-australia-blame-dark-forces-as-ceo-castle-quits/ And that will make a huge number of Aussie players & supporters very happy. Re: Rugby for sale?

I would rather there was a proper debate of the potential impacts rather than a top-line focus on just revenue. If the Union want to be on a secure footing then they need to think about the surplus - not revenue Nail on head - the key point in any strategic financial analysis. It seems so obvious i...

That may be true but I think the concern in these parts is that (a) the team playing the Premiership these days is not the team we will be playing and between now and then they will give nothing away for our video analysis and (b) the only thing their coaching and analysis teams are working on is us - and they are getting information.

This nervousness is only going to get worse between now and then :D

Hard to see us keeping Connors and Penny. Along with Leavy and VDF. Connors is having some season; just as Penny had some breakout season. There’s more than three and a half years between them, they’re at quite different stages of their careers. Penny only turned 20 two months ago Connors turns 24 ...
