Agreed. Only time will tell. But as you know, national rugby journalists have their ear to the ground and this perspective was offered to me privately. The journalist has not written to this effect.
Seeing as it's private, make sure you don't put it on the internet whatever you do

Re: Munster Rugby - Semi Conscious, the Series Finale??? - 2020/21

Reading match reports, that was impressive from Munster. They're finally following Leinster's example and giving their young players a run of games. Maybe their hand has been forced by the IRFU, but the result is the same - they're doing something that is good for them & Irish rugby rather than just...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Wouldn't be surprised if he only got one week. Stuff like that has happened before - O'Connell avoiding a citing after kicking a prone player in the head because Munster had a big game against Clermont coming up springs to mind. Suppose it was easier to brush that one under the carpet because he so...

I see the latest non-Munster player has completed the media training course on how to become a ligind: "Limerick feels a bit like home' - De Allende settling well with Munster"

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Also, can we establish beyond doubt that our jersey does not have, beyond doubt, any link to the old evil empire? All old empires are evil. Evil is par for the course creating and keeping one. Well the red comes from the days when they played rugby with the British army in Limerick. The Redcoats ga...

While I agree it is far from ideal which one do you think is a cheat?

Clancy is not a cheat ( as a Former Referee myself , I would say that very, very few are) - but generally reserves his worst refereeing performances for matches involving Leinster
Ummm, that's being very kind

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

You have to feel for the lad, at this stage he must be thinking that he will never get a break. He has played very little rugby over the last 2 years, and you’d have to wonder if he will get near a pitch in the next 12 months. Hopefully this is just a setback, and he eventually gets a good run of g...

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

Quality rant a few posts up 😀. What if IRFU aren't footing the bill for the new SA imports to the team formerly known as Munster? Rumour was that JP wouldn't put money in until Fitzgerald left, so maybe that's what happened. Certainly that's what my Munster pal says has happened. Didn't Lucifira say...

How strong is our squad depth really? Outside of the pack and half backs, we have scant cover for injuries going into the knockout stages.

I see Gerry has another of his love-in articles about his beloved "Munster" in today's Times. I won't quote the populist dribble, as you've heard most of it before.

Re: Leinster Rugby Mount Rushmore

I saw Ollie Le Roux play in Parc y Scarlets in the pissing rain. A match we normally would've packed up and gone home at half time. He was critical in changing the club.

He should be there.

I named my dog after him.

Re: Leinster Squad 19-20

It's too late. Munster wouldn't accept him as a loan, it had to be permanent. Whether we'd want him back is irrelevant: the bridge has been burned. He is their future and they are his. If van Graan prefered someone else, Leo wanted him back and Farrell thought it would not damage the Irish team, th...

At this rate Munster will have to increase their squad number through promotion and/or outside help.

Re: Leinster Rugby Cancels Season Tickets for 2020-21

We'll receive credit for the unplayed matches on the season tickets which does't mean a refund. One off tickets to be refunded. Still a reasonable offer by Leinster though. Leading the way as usual. I'd certainly buy a signed jersey for the cause if they go down that road.
