Re: Stash Watch 2020/21

Bad, an inverted triangle shape (broad shoulders, narrow hips) is perceived by our brains to be physically powerful. Its why you'll often see a 'disruptive' element on shirts around the sides of the torso and under the arms, or on the shorts The 2014-15 European jersey, on the other hand, was an ir...

I don't think there is any Adidas kit which is not the same colour shorts and shirt. Correct me if I'm wrong. Quins anyway. Then Blues (navy shorts), Canes (black v yellow jersey), Crusaders (black v red jersey). That's me told  Suntory Sungoliath, Toyota Verblitz, Nttdocomo Red Hurricanes. ...

Thankfully mentions of Gerry's columns just remind me to review Gerry Thornley (assuredly) on Twitter and the world seems a much better place.

As an aside leinsterites. What’s yere thoughts on salanoa as a player?? Has he too much ground to make up as a prop? He’d be some weapon if he could scrimmage As far as I could see he's an athlete. Strength and power definitely there. Scrummaging technique seemed lacking but times he could power ou...

As far as I'm aware Hernan has pretty strong Wexford roots too.

David Hawkshaw(21/Belvedere) - Academy Yr 3
Curious if this is a more official indication Hawkshaw will focus on 10 or your own feeling on it?

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

Leicester statement confirming the contract terminations https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/club-statement-200710 Notable that they never even thank the leaving players for their service. Not a shred of class. I think Andrea Pinchen, the chief exec, did in a semi-sincere way in her own statement ...

Re: Wing going forward

right so I can't express my opinion about what I'd like to see smith do next season because i'm not his coach, great. Your own opinion was a dismissal of someone suggesting that 7s might be a good option. All I'm doing is telling you that you're not in a position to say if 7s would be a good ...

Re: Scrumhalf going forward

TJ Perenara kinda shows one example how NZ gave up the no assholes policy too.

If you ever catch him on ref mic he doesn't come across well. Quite a few times I heard him swearing at refs and not being called up on it.

Re: Leinster greatest coach??

Schmidt suffers from being great while he is in situ and seeing the limitations quite clearly in his absence. No doubt an excellent coach like Bielsa in soccer but people are relatively glad to see the back of them once things falter as the methods are so demanding on the players/staff. Farrell is t...

Leinster or IRFU were never going to build something which would be owned by somebody else without some very particular benefits accruing to them.

Calls for Exeter Chiefs to entirely alter branding in new development https://www.rugbypass.com/news/calls-for-exeter-chiefs-to-entirely-alter-branding-in-new-development 131 signatures. Saracens name has got to go at this rate. I personally find the "Irish" in London Irish offensive. Don't go look...

Re: Loosehead Prop going forward

See: if only refs could see McCaw coming in from the side/off his feet/etc Not straight in the scrum is far easier to see than in from the side, and once you've seen it once there's only one place you need to check each time. Yet it still isn't being reffed. Point still applies. His scrummaging isn...

Re: Loosehead Prop going forward

I don’t quite get the ‘Kilcoyne good’ reference - He’s good around the field ok ( given space) but he’s a really bad ( and always illegal) scrummager Don't think that's the case any more. He has hugely improved in this area. In fact he was building a good case to be ahead of Healy during the 6N. I ...

Re: Loosehead Prop going forward

Healy also had the advantage of not having test Lions in front of him during his development. He was outstanding but he didn’t have the same fight as Dooley or Byrne. Byrne was highly touted coming out of school but more as a ball player than a muscle man and he also had a severe enough injury that...
