Re: Fullback options going forward

It reminds me of the Queensland State of Origin side with Cooper Cronk, Jonathan Thurston and Billy Slater in it. Surely this comparison has a Cameron Smith sized hole in it? You are correct. Cameron Smith is nominally a hooker though, so I felt conflicted including him in the comparison! Very true...

Why keep dreaming? You would have said the same thing about Munster getting Snyman and/or de Allende I'm sure. A bit of belief.
We aren't Munster though.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread

There's generally an appearance minimum for the dream team which precludes many Leinster players who are rotated more heavily.

That and it's designed to not be dominated by an Irish team top of the league.

I wonder how long kiss remains there, for all the money they are forming out their play on the pitch is awful
Never mind Kiss, Declan Kidney was a done force a decade ago. How he got another job in rugby baffles me.
He had a cushy job as (figure)head of sport in UCC for a while there too.

What's your feeling on Temple Carrig, Mildly?

I know a guy who's become involved with teaching/coaching there recently (last 18 months or so).

School on the up do you think?

Munster lose money, we don't.
Is Leinster Rugby a profitable entity in its own right?
How many Rugby clubs are profitable entities?

Leinster certainly spend by far the most on community rugby that I'm aware.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Was gobsmacked that Toland and Morris spent a few minutes talking about Beirne's distribution when Munster butchered a big overlap outwide with Conway not passing after pretty shite handling and no fixing of men.

No game time for Dooley either. strange.
Surprised as he was one of the form front rows before the lockdown
I thought this too but he was mentioned in the first injury report with the shoulder so figured he hadn't progressed enough to be in contention.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

I hope all these arguments are fresh in Munster supporters minds when in 2/3 years time they're still scrabbling around for recruits from other provinces or NIQ/E foreign imports to bolster a squad that lacks quality.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Snyman managed a few years in Japan. I wouldn’t have him as the homesick type. Tough on him and Munster. Semi final is the least of their problems. There’s a full season to think about. Well, he was playing then, not long-term injured. He could go and do things, because Covid-19 wasn't a factor. I'...

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

Was looking at the mess we made of kick receptions - Larmour got a lot of scrutiny (rightly so). But it did occur to me looking at it that our retreating players who were trying to shepherd the chasers consistently seem to retreat back into Larmour's space. It looked like he was having to jump into...

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

Watching the game for a 2nd time, it was noticeable how much both Archer and Hanahran flopped on the top of the rucks without getting penalised. It was exactly the type of actions that I thought the new ref focus was supposed to eliminate. I really am worried that the HCup QF could be a lottery of ...

When Sexton left we signed Gopperth. Very good player, played loads of rugby, great signing. But it wasn't a great time for Leinster's development.
Still going strong at Wasps.

In the echelons of Kiwi 'journeymen' pros done good he must rate pretty high.
