Re: Saints away 7th December
There are quality players in the Premiership, but as you say, England made the World Cup final but that was on the back of having loads of Saracens players and having others spread around the remaining 11 Premiership sides.

Re: Saints away 7th December
The clubs may want to get rid of relegation, but as a supporter I wouldn’t want to. We got relegated as did Quinn’s and it gave us the chance to reorganise and restructure our club and when we came back both of us won the Premiership within a few years. I’m sure relegation would give Leicester the c...

Re: Saints away 7th December
It’s always so much easier to say it’s the refs fault, the other team cheating, the rules are unfair blah blah blah than to actually say my team weren’t good enough. We were always unlikely to win against such a strong side with such experience. If we had won, then it would have been a massive shock...

Re: Saints away 7th December
I just hope we've done enough to win some respect from the English teams, considering our skills deficit and all Please tell me you are joking? Your side have nothing but respect from any Saints supporter I’ve ever heard. If anything, I hoped my home TOWN team did enough to earn the respect of supp...

Re: Saints away 7th December
Hi Leoslovechild and everyone else making their first trip to FG, I hope you’ll enjoy your first taste of the gardens. Look, I’ll be honest with you, Northampton is just a normal working class town, it isn’t going to be high on the list of anyone particularly wanting to sightsee, however it is a rug...

Re: Saints away 7th December
Yep, don't understand the co-cap thing myself, especially as they are both forwards. It's obviously a NZ thing as Wayne Smith did the same when he was in charge some years ago now.

Re: Saints away 7th December
Can't see that pack living with ours to be honest. Massive gap between out starting 8 and theirs (except possibly for Harrison and Doris) As you say, our pack is significantly weaker than yours. Healy v 21 year old Painter and Toner up against 23 year old Moon being prime examples of the gulf in ex...

Re: Saints away 7th December
It's the loss of George Furbank at 15 that worries me most. He had two HIA's during the Leicester match, so perhaps he is out with something along those lines. Never been a huge admirer of Tuala and Furbank was on fire last weekend. On paper there is only one winner of this match. Your side is stron...

Re: Saints away 7th December
I suspect the side will be very similar to what was originally posted for our game against Leicester, so..... https://www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/news/saints-name-side-for-sold-out-derby-day-at-franklins-gardens/ From what Boydy said on BT Sports on Saturday, all three that failed fitness tests were...

Re: Saints away 7th December
Hi Leinster Supporters, Hope as many of you as possible are on your way to Franklin's Gardens at the weekend, your noisy and passionate support always adds to the atmosphere. Hopefully we'll be able to give you a fair and honest test as sometimes we have rather let ourselves down in the past. We are...

Re: Mallinder sacked
Jim's time had come to an end. We met you guys in the HEC final as the side was being built. That side went onto it's pinnacle by winning the Premiership in 2014 and instead of re-building and forging a dynasty, we patted ourselves on our back an awarded players who should have been moved on, with n...

Re: Message to Curates_egg and to all of you.
Our young Slytherin (Harry Mallinder) has had a stellar season last year, culminating with captaining the England U20's to a World Cup win (MOTM in the final to boot!) Not sure who the first choice centres are going to be next season. The chairman stated a while ago that after Louis Picamoles signin...

Re: Message to Curates_egg and to all of you.
What a sh1t world we live in when topics like this even have to be mentioned.
I'm sure there will be many thousands of Saints supporters, more than happy to see as many of you over here for the match, let alone the Northampton publicans, hoteliers, club owners, restaurateurs, taxi firms etc etc etc.

....dont worry about coming to Northampton we're nice fans and we wouldnt tolerate abuse of visiting (Irish fans).... I'm not sure who you refer to Simon, regarding UKIP propaganda. If you mean me, then I only gave a view on why English people MAY have voted to leave the EU, I won't be drawn into p...

Message to Curates_egg and to all of you.
Hi there, I read Curates comment on the European Draw thread and hoped beyond hope that they weren't being serious. I'm no spokesmen for the Northampton community, I don't even live there myself, but do you really believe that we have all suddenly become racists and bigots? The British politicians h...

Re: Many Congratulations
The year we won the HEC, we came second in the league to Lucifer Tigers and were beaten by Wycombe Wasps in the domestic cup final at Twickenham. Since that day at HQ against Munster, we've been relegated twice and now since Jim has been in charge, we've made something like 9 finals, winning 5 of th...

Re: Many Congratulations
It shows how well you did to get out of the group. Little wonder you were poorly seeded for the knock out stages when sides in our groups were taking points off each other so much. Thanks for your own congrats. It's the first time we've been domestic champions, so at last we've won all four trophies...

Many Congratulations
Hello my friendly Leinster supporters, Just wanted to offer my congratulations in winning the Pro 12 this year. I haven't seen the final, but looking at the score, it wasn't a particularly close affair. Really pleased that the likes of Wilko in France and BOD for you guys, were able to finish their ...

Well I think that it's pretty fair to say that you have won this group with that magnificent win against Castres away from home. I can see no way in the world that the Ospreys will cause you any problem whatsoever, especially at home, because they are a very poor side, the weakest in our pool by far...
