Re: Andy Farell's Reign of Terror

Honestly I think he might have taken a bang to the head. He looked gormless knocking on the restart, but look again at the next few phases and his defensive application is a world away from the others. He trotted around and got up slowly. Compare to Stander who was still at the pitch of the game. E...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

Some sense spoken by Andrew Trimble (on The42) on the whole "should an exception me made for Zebo" rubbish: https://www.facebook.com/110967718965726/posts/3570603929668737/ (Additional rubbish in the comments though) Brilliant clip. I recommend it to anyone, who hasn't heard it. Thanks for posting!...

Re: Friday's rant

A certain class of gentleman, let's say bolshy, entitled and possibly attend the church of Clarkson, specifically the ones who park their autos in the P&K. I've given up on confronting them as I'm genuinely afraid of what I'll do/say/set on fire (insert as applicable). More often than not met with ...

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October

This might be more suited to the Friday's Rant thread, but it isn't Friday. I'm really sick of hearing people in the media talking up Simon Zebo and talking down the rule against picking foreign-based players. The amount of exaggeration and factual inaccuracy on RTÉ's rugby podcast was hugely irrita...

Re: General GAA thread

Alarming/interesting comments from Bevan Duffy of Louth "I don't understand, with the case numbers going up, the way things are all around the country, how GAA inter-county footballers are all of a sudden immune to this," he said. "We've teachers in that dressing room. We've lads living at home, a l...

Possible Leinster XV:

1. Dooley
2. Cronin
3. Bent
4. Molony
5. Toner
6. Murphy
7. Penny
8. Ruddock
9. McGrath
10. HB
11. Kelleher
12. Frawley
13. ROL
14. Kearney
15. JOB
That backline looks really interesting. I'd love to see Frawley and HB together

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

The clock said 79.51 rather than 79.57 at the end. Dunno why the timekeeper wasn’t listening to Nige, he was very clear. Anyway Im glad Exeter won. Racing aren’t cheats like someone we could mention, but their success is built on a rich man’s chequebook like Toulon before them. I just don’t want to ...

I’ve previously said on here that Doris should be a 6 but I must admit that Rhys stepped it up a level when he came on.

Rhys really is a seriously high-quality player.

Salanoa looking like exactly the kind of explosive power athlete we could do with. That bit of chicanery will stick in the craw for a long time

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21

Yeah I know - a further 6 positive tests yesterday. So they seem to be losing control of it. When do the Euro games start? Assuming they have to quarrantine until after they test negative, have they any chance of being in shape as a squad for Europe 2nd weekend in December Ah December, I can't wait...

Re: Benetton v. Leinster, Sat 10 Oct, 1715hrs

I’m watching the buaicphointí on TG4 now. Yeah their glee isn't well concealed. "WE HAVE A GAME NOW!""THIS IS INTERESTING!" Etc I thought they were showing the whole match actually. If anyone knows of the full game being available anywhere then hit a brotha up. Those injuries to Larmour and Deegan i...

Possible ACL for Max Deegan according to GT. That'd be a huge blow.

Benetton v. Leinster, Sat 10 Oct, 1715hrs

Personally I’m hoping to see Keenan retained at fullback and Rhys at 6. Ryan & Baird from the start with Fardy to come on at lock or flanker, and Byrne at 10 to start.

Im guessing Porter will miss out so that should mean Bent & Parker at TH.

Friday's rant

And here, Berch is one of the worst offenders for getting players’ names wrong. Every week on the 42 he mentions “Ronan Solano” and “Mario Toje”

Re: Leinster V NG Dragons RDS Fri 2nd Oct 20:15

Ryan looks to have filled out this year and is man-handling fellow second rows with ease. I think it won’t be long before he is the same Size as George Kruis or AWJ. “I’m about 113 (kg) and that’s where I see my optimum weight. Usually I’m about 112 so this period has allowed me to put on a small b...
