Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
I'd have Rhys, dan and doris but will prob be vdf at 7. As mentioned above, I really don’t understand why so many people on this forum rush to write off VDF. He was excellent, as usual, vs Ulster. Meanwhile, as much as we all want, nothing we have seen from Leavy so far would suggest he is back to ...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
I am not attributing blame, but this is yet another thread that has become unreadable due to interactions with Munster#1. I am not saying it is his fault, but these tiresome arguments on threads on the forum are really a negative development. I hate crying to mods, but is there any possibility to mo...

It's a 3 point spread, with us as favourites.

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
Leinster may never have beaten Munster when the latter had a full side - depending on how you split the hairs. I don't know.
However, it is highly likely that all our victories came from Leinster sides that also weren't full.
There have been so many, I couldn't be bothered going back to check though.

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
Tipoki certainly counts, he was first name on the Munster team sheet until he got a hubris injury Went home in April, match was in May. Plus according to Limerick wisdom at the time Earls was the best 13 in the Worild at the time Went home in June, when his contract expired, it was announced he was...

I wonder when his quote/unquote purely speculatory, alleged, no proof here... ban.... comes to an end? Was it 1 year? what was it for? was there even a ban? Am I understanding correctly? Are you alleging that he was not injured but being internally disciplined by the IRFU for some offence, but they...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
He's not as bad as some of his Munster branch predecessors - in terms of blatant anti-Leinster bias. However, given his last outing against us, I would have thought he, we and the league could have benefited from a different ref. It seems we only have Munster Branch refs but I would have preferred e...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
Good team and likely to be pretty spot on — I think we’ll start Cronin however. Set piece is Munster’s major strength and our lineout has only vaguely functioned when Cronin is on the pitch. Controversial! Actually think there’s a a good chance that will happen! Jimmy has been excellent and we alre...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
I don't agree with most of that. I think are still very good journalists in the Irish Times. I found their coverage of the pandemic more balanced than most Irish outlets. [Anyone relying solely on pearl-clutching millennials, working for the online publications and masquerading blue-tick opinion as...

Great, something to look forward too! Full strength sides too which is brilliant. Side I go with: Healy, Cronin, Porter, Ryan, Toner, Ruddock, VDF, Doris, McGrath, Sexton, Lowe, Henshaw, ROL/JOB, DK, Keenan Dooley, Kelleher, Furlong/Bent, Baird, Connors, JGP, Ross, Larmour I wonder will we try to f...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
John O'Sullivan quietly does good work on the rugby side; I'd be happy if he got the Cummiskey jobs. You’re right, and I should moderate my previous dismissal of the IT rugby page outright. O’Sullivan does a good job but it is hard to see it for the drivel shoveled up by Cummisky and the pompous Mu...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
It's the Irish times. Honestly it's rugby coverage is the least of its worries. They've maintained an obsequious cheerleading of the government all the way to the highest rate of infection in the world, decided that illegal government leaks are just fine. There are lots of fine young journalists in...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Even reading his name enrages me. It was bad enough when the IT rugby pages were full of Munster fanboy pieces by GT. But this guy takes it to a whole new level: lazy, an appalling writer, zero journalistic talent and a gigantic chip on his shoulder. For me growing up, rugby correspondent with the I...

Travel ban on cross-border elite sport will also plunge Six Nations into doubt. Story at @TelegraphSport It was pretty inevitable this season wouldn’t be concluded with...

Re: Hooker options going forward
Cronin joint 7th all time try scorer, drawing level with Rob last night.
Also in the top ten appearances.
Has been delivering for us for a decade now. Great to see him have such a good game last night.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
Fair play to Brace for penalising McGrath there Hopefully it (and the emphasis on enforcing that law) will be the kick up the hole McGrath needs. The difference when he came on for JGP was glaring. So good at every aspect of the game apart from the most important one for a 9. Totally disagree. JGP'...

Huge defensive set to deny them the bonus.
