Re: A whiff of Cordite
Dan Biggar making a whole helluva a lot of sense on the Rugby Pod talking about Leinster and the other provinces. It's balanced, nice to hear. Biggar is a great addition to the Rugby Pod: good (and relevant) knowledge of the game and a very balanced and clear communicator. I really like Big Jim too...

Milne and Boyle set to stay but several Leinster men joining other provinces https://the42.ie/6361363 Does it say who? I fully expect us to lose Deegan and Ed Byrne, as well as a centre, most likely Brownlee. I struggle to see how someone like Tector will stay. And there are persistent rumours abou...

Re: The quickening 2024
Going up against the Lions and going up against the Stormers isn't some sort of pointless task. A weaker team than we sent out last week beat the Lions last year. The team we sent over to play the Stormers two seasons ago – the season they won the URC - wasn't anything like our strongest team eithe...

Harry Byrne and Milne also still there. So nobody has gone home.
I wonder was that planned or a consequence of the result on Saturday?

Re: A whiff of Cordite
not that fans of other provinces will accept that the gap of direct financing at least is not that big. They wont have to as long as the media continues to push the simplified narrative. We are already seeing it repeated in the UK media and I'm sure we'll hear more and more of it before the Northam...

Re: The quickening 2024
Honestly with the way the season is scheduled this year, I’m far less worried about league position. Regardless of what happens in Croke Park and, hopefully, London, the champions cup will be done and dusted before we mount a challenge on the league title. We’ve seen what can happen when a team get...

I was expecting at least one of Jenkins/Molony and Healy/Milne, Frawley and maybe Harry might head home, and a bare bones selection for this one, but I wonder will plans change? Well, it looks like Jenkins AND Molony have stayed on. Frawley and Healy are also in this video: https://twitter.com/lein...

Re: Rumour Mill
Joe Schmidt had conversations with Carbery, Jordi Murphy and Jack McGrath where while says he didn't tell them to move but they went straight of those meetings and immediately arranged moved. Ross Byrne and some others came under a lot of pressure but pushed back. I have no issue with Schmidt wanti...

Jackman saying that Joe Schmidt is blocking us signing Tupou.
He's certainly done us no favours in terms of squad management/recruitment since he left us.

Re: A whiff of Cordite
People can take all the offence they want. I just think it must be exhausting getting that upset about such things. And My turn to use hyperbole now. On other online and social media platforms this kind of stuff. (Hatred of people you have never met over stuff that may or may not be all in your hea...

Re: Stormers v Leinster - Sat 27 April 18.05 - TG4
Maybe it's because Stormers have never beaten Munster but I never think of them as a massive powerhouse side (despite making last two finals). I think they're very beatable. La Rochelle who you beat out the gate beat them in Cape Town. Ospreys beat them in Cape Town. Munster and Glasgow and Benetto...

Re: The quickening 2024
There’s surely no chance of us flying players out for the second game? I’d have rather expected players to fly home. Why not reinforce? Indeed, why bring players back home? We need a win on this trip. We screwed up royally against the Lions, so the expectation/ calculation that we could soft pedal ...

Stormers v Leinster - Sat 27 April 18.05 - TG4
Onwards and upwards. Having screwed the pooch up in the clouds in Jo’burg, it would be great to get something out of this game in Cape Town. I was expecting at least one of Jenkins/Molony and Healy/Milne, Frawley and maybe Harry might head home, and a bare bones selection for this one, but I wonder ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
“Leinster have the money, Munster have the points.” Daire O’Briain on RTE. It’s not journalism but it’s fine, and even funny. But can we stop the pretence that the Irish rugby media is impartial? How Munster fans, with a straight face, still claim the rugby media and establishment is against them i...
