YES WE CAN

YES WE CAN!! Ok, I’m a little rusty at this, but here goes nothing….. There are many things in life to be treasured, but those that are few and far between are often the ones to be treasured and savoured. Many of the best things in life only come around once every four years, a World Cup, a Lions To...

Re: Schools Rugby 2009-10 - SCT

Opposite touch judges tho?

For me, most disappointing thing was the major concern & talking point was "will he be banned for the final?!?" Is Gouging now so accepted that the only punishment for a child is a 1 game ban? If the guy was guilty, he should be expelled!!

Re: Schools Rugby 2009-10 - SCT

Ruck was only a couple of yards away from me - half way line on terrace side. I didn't see anything nor did anyone around me.

Re: IRB Player of the Year Shortlist announced

Franz Stein?? You're having a laugh. He's the single weak link in the current Saffie team.

BOD has to win it.

Richie doesn't deserve to be there (ironic I know) and where is Rocky?

Re: Remax leinster League

I heard Gissings behaviour in the Portlaoise game was something to behold as well. Heard it was one of the dirtiest performances from a player some people had ever seen. Apparently one player suffered a broken jaw in an off the ball incident and there were two other serious off the ball incidents i...

Re: Lions Team v Emerging Springboks

ROG played himself out of the 10 shirt. Was bounced for 2 attempted tackles and flapped at 2 more - better day and these could have easily led to scores. He can't start. That coupled with the fact that he's too reliant on kicking (can't be doing that on the Highveldt) and doesn't distribute as well ...

Re: First Test Post Mortem

Ok, Phillips - personally thought he was excellent playing against the best SH in the world. People complain about his step & not having a great pass, but fact remains he gets the ball from the ruck before the ruck forms. He knows he's big enough to hold a hit if it does come so doesn't wait for...

Re: Lions Team to Face Sharks

POC and DOC, the 2 biggest donkeys in rugby, could butcher an overlap with only Matt Dunnning to beat and i don't care if they can benchpress the entire Bok pack    Quality stuff! The funny thing is that post you quoted DDS does not sound like one from a bandwagon rugger fan. Ther...

Re: "stand up for the boys in blue"

It was pure class & timed to perfection. Loadest chant of the match - seemed endless and coz everyone stood up the whole stadium turned blue. Must have been a massive lift for the team. Just remember seeinga couple of the Leicester players doing 360's in total awe and shock!! The question remain...

Persecution Complex

Guys - When are we going to lose the persecution complex? Just reading 4 or 5 threads & it's getting tedious.... For years many Leinster fans have been disgruntled by the media and public at large about Lunsters / Ladyboys / Franno / Myers / Journos whatever the f%~k!! We've proved ourselves so ...

Re: Drowning out " The Fields"

Guys if we've learned nothing from 3 years ago, its you have to get into the crowd in nos & keep it soo simple that every Leinster fan at the game will get behind the chants. If you try to sing 20 songs, it will only end up being small sections of the crowd getting in. So here's my checklist: 1....

Re: Lions News

In my honest opinion Henson should start at 12. Up until his latest injury he was in the form of his career & I think his running style will suit BOD at 13 better than Flutey, D'arce or Roberts. Just on the money machine point, I don't believe that it is in its entirety, but you must remember ho...

Re: Italy v Ireland.

Stringer was right - End of. Darcy has to start. He's the link. ROG's game has diminished to such an extreme that all he can do is 2 things: 1. Kick for the corners & 2. Ship the ball as fast as he f%~king can to Mafi / Tipoki so they can make the hard yards. i.e. ROG creates nothing. Fact is ne...

I was literally screaming this at the screen earlier, wasnt good for my hangover! I nearly had to leave the room! Why? Byrne is rightly the number one pick for the Lions 15 jersey but that could very well change over the course of the rest of the season. Zactly. On current form Lee Byrne is a WC Fu...

Re: Team to play France - Speculation

Can't argue with most of the team, but Wallace, Heaslip & Ferris were an absolute disaster as a unit for the AI's. Three very similar players, none of whom excel at slowing oppo ball, linking play or getting down & dirty. Leamy for Heaslip at a minimum is required & if so I'd prefer to s...

2 penalties if http://www.scrum.com is to be believed & which tallies with my recollection of the match ....... Agree that there were to many team penalties, and quite a few were a bit silly (Quinlan hitting 15 in the air, etc). Just off the top of my head, I remember 3: 1. In from the side in ...
