Re: General GAA thread

Aren't club championships and county leagues played through the winter and county championships through summer? No. Club season (in Dublin at least) usually starts mid-Feb with some cup games; league starts late Feb/early March; Championship starts a bit later, April maybe. Games are played through...

Re: Friday's Rave

Not really sure where to post this but ultimately it's a rave about Leinster, so I'll stick it here. My Dad died unexpectedly last month (March 21st). He was a fit & healthy 67 year old; had a normal Friday - did some work on the house during the day, had a couple of beers and a packet of crisps tha...

Not sure if you meant in Ireland or in general but The Aussie Rules season is still going ahead, starting this weekend. Pity about the time difference

Re: 6 Nations 2020

Assuming Tuilagi and Marker get bans for X number of weeks, they could still potentially play in England's final Six Nations game.
Is there ever a ruling where a player will definitely not be allowed to play in the next games in the specific tournament?

Re: Schools Rugby 2019-2020

The Leinster Rugby Instagram page doesn’t help with them putting up 10 posts about how great Ryan Baird is ever since his previous game for Leinster. Must be a Michael’s man running that account it’s hard to watch. It’s like they’re training to get to Ryan Baird’s head. I’d hate that if I was a pla...

Media trying to blame Dublin for it, even naming Dublin players but no Tyrone ones

I'm sure if they publicly named the school, there'd be just as much outrage on Twitter that they released the information.

Re: England v Ireland 2020 6N 23-FEB Father vs Son

Doris was our backrow leading ground maker Just had a look there. Doris made more metres than any forward from either team! 19 metres from 6 carries (CJ made 17 metres from 18 carries). 3rd among the Irish forwards was Kelleher with 8 metres from 3 carries. I know it was against tiring bodies, and ...

Re: Leinster Squad 19-20

Is he really that much behind Tracy? I’m yet to be convinced that JT has what it takes. Cronin only has a couple of years max left If we’re losing one at the end of the season, I’m not entirely certain it’s Byrne I would want to lose. Going by minutes/games this season I'd say Tracy is comfortably ...

Molony seems to hint in the indo today that some players playing in this game who haven't played yet this season. That would be interesting. Dan Sheehan on the bench? With Cronin or Kelleher missing out? You'd imagine Farrell wants Kelleher to get a run out, and Cronin has played very little rugby ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

Connacht need an Eight and a seven next season. A Nick Williams type player to create forward ball and someone to replace Fainga'a. Friend has consistently said he is looking abroad for these players and while he might be misrepresenting he's being fairly consistent about this for the last while. A...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Big signings and big investment. If they don't win a trophy or at least get to a final next year then JVG will be done for. Still think they're missing a real quality TH and the Snyman money would've been better invested there. What's going to happen when Kleyn, Snyman and Beirne are all fit? I thi...
