At least I won't get confused about people in the white change jersey, thinking that they are wearing an England top.

I think its fair to say that Liverpool fans are amongst the most loyal, understanding fans in the world.
Maybe not humble the most humble though :D

Re: Leinster Ticket Pricing

€10 would be about the general price for admission to a Division 1 AIL match. So given the B&I cup games should be of a higher standard, or at least a more concentrated selection of quality players, don't think it is that bad a price. All in all, it is up to the individual whether it is worth it...

Re: General GAA thread

Could some one explain to the uninitiated (eg myself) why Dublin can be so strong at the football , yet rarely challenge in the hurling? Also the ulster counties seem to be pretty average at hurling as well? Is Hurling played in less counties or something? Tradition would be a major factor. How tha...

Re: Best Imports XV

Jim Williams at Munster would have to be in that side. Sorry Rocky. But do you mean the best player to be imported or the one who had the best impact? Because Cullen did virtually nothing here as he arrived a broken man and De Villiers was brutal during his short stay. Well Rocky rules state since ...

Re: Glasgow away 5/6/7th Sept

Hinted at above. Haven't checked the SPL fixtures but if Celtic are at home that weekend, a good chance that the demand for flights from Dublin and hence the prices could be jacked up.

Whatever about Messi winning the Golden Boot award, I am sure that Eamon Sweeney is writing a very long letter of protest about Colombia winning the Fair Play award.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Based on World Cup performances - would you go for Ron Vlaar. Only a year left on his contract at the Seals, sorry I mean Villa. I'd tend to agree with Peg Leg's approach of looking to target players who could well be undervalued due to their World Cup Performances.

A Million ways to die in the west (a must NOT see for any film fans such a let down) Went to see this and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was quite average - after the panning it received. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out why the cinematography wasn't anywhere near as awe-inspiring...

Re: World Cup Finals 2014-Brazil

Refs seem under orders to let them hack their way to the trophy. Most unlikable Brazilian team ever and the thought of Scolari being a two time winning manager is a depressing one indeed. A bit before my time but the '74 Brazil team was quite thuggish as well. A huge comedown from their sublime out...

Super game of hurling yesterday. A bit gutted that Kilkenny couldn't see it out but its another day and another championship game - and if its as good as that whats to complain about. Amazing finish but wouldn't have thought if was that fantastic a game overall. A bit of a shock to see Kilkenny los...

Re: Pre-season friendlies

You can't include 13 or 14 thousand season ticket holders in a ground that holds 6000. Although it would be nice if they gave STHs free (or nominal €1 charge) tickets on a first come first served basis. We don't get every ST holder to a Zebre home have so we're hardly going to get them at a pre sea...

Re: World Cup Finals 2014-Brazil

I am a Liverpool fan and I can honestly say that Henderson should not be on that team, also how the hell does Welbeck get into that team, he does nothing apart from a nice bit of skill followed by giving the ball away. Surely Lalana would be a better option, even Milner to cover Baines. Hodgson got...

Re: World Cup Finals 2014-Brazil

Bill O'Herlihy certainly doesn't seem to be one for a changing of the guard or the underdogs, telling us how horribly sad it was to see Spain's dominance over. While Chile weren't perfect, but that was an absolutely sublime first goal for which they didn't get enough credit.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Fixture list released today - Liverpool fixtures September and October feature 6 games against 5 teams who'll expect to be fighting relegation come May (Plus a home Merseyside derby), so max points from these two months doesn't look too tall an order. Being very generous, let's say Liverpool have a...

Ah You has been here 3 years. Seem to recall there were issues about Jamie Hagan's fitness levels when he returned to Leinster from Connacht as well. Also, Ah You and some Connacht colleagues who may not have expected International call-ups may have had an earlier wind down to their end of season c...

Very early days to be saying that. Just over a year ago I wouldn't have even been sure that he had a future at Leinster and look how much things have changed. He hadn't played in weeks and was making his first international start yesterday so wouldn't read too much into that performance. It's not l...
