Re: please recover Tomas
Folks, Rarely post here, as I'm an MF lurker/addict. Just wanted to say thanks for all the good wishes :happy clapper: for Tomás - we're all gutted down here! See ye in CP next week! The wishes are for an Irish player - you don't own the guy! V harsh on him, talk about bad luck. Would go with Care ...

Re: Grand Slam!
What a great great day it was. Awesome stuff. They did us proud. And the strange/scary thing was we didn't play anywhere near our potential for the majority of most games of the tournament (yesterday being case in point) and still won the GS. I can see us really kicking on next season now that we ha...

Re: Stephen Jones' Lions XV
Rediculous!
Though in fairness I would have most of the Welsh backline too - certainly their halfbacks, Williams, L. Byrne and possibly Shanklin.
How he could justify leaving Drico (or Paulo) out after that 6N is astounding.
Wind-up merchant. He's not paid to agree with what everyone thinks.

Re: Scotland v Ireland
Paddy Wallace had another very good game and should retain his place. D'Arcy should continue to be used as impact off the bench (and as pointed out above he would have replaced Wallace after 60 had Drico not been stumbling around the pitch with probable concussion...what a hero!). Someone mentioned ...

Re: Ireland v England
ROG was awful but even if he produces a similar display against Soctland (which I don't believe he will), I'd wait until the summer and autumn to replace him. Ian Humphries is the realistic alternative, and throwing a guy like that in at this stage of the season would be crazy. ROG is a good pro and...

Re: Leinster Boys in Green: Amazing!
I disagree a bit. I thought Kearney's kicking was very poor (as were all three of our main kickers - O'Leary being the worst), To be fair on him this may have been caused by the concussion he appeared to get early in the first half. I was in the Davin stand and he collapsed, got up and staggered fo...

Re: George Hook
Hook is a clown, has to bring petty provincialism into everything. I'll be watching the rest of the 6N on the BBC. With Jerry Guscot? It was ironic when he started the coverage today by explaining what a clown is - because that's exactly what he is. Ever read his articles in the Sunday Times? The m...

Re: Leinster v's Cardiff - Match Thread
They wouldn't have had the rights, since s4c were showing it in the UK. Happens with a lot of football games that are being shown on Setanta Ireland in ROI (the channel says 'programme unavailable' if it's a Setanta UK subscription).Leinster Zulu wrote:That's true, but it's still very strange they didn't show it.

Re: Leinster v's Cardiff - Match Thread
Glad i'm not the only one who suffered the worst commentary I have ever heard - at points I was wondering if they were going to stop chatting and actually watch the game - I wondered if in fact i'd somehow connected to 2 blokes in a pub who had never seen a rugby game before .... The best part was ...

Re: Leinster v's Cardiff - Match Thread
f%~k me that was tight. Did Contepomi miss anything tonight? 7 from 7. Caught the last 10 minutes on a stream from s4c, with welsh commentary , with another game in welsh I could hear, with my pc deciding to buffer every 40 seconds, and s4c leaving the cardiff game for averavon every 2 mins. Major ...

Munster fans were leaving 5 mins before the end.
A lot of the Ulster lads have done their Ireland credentials no harm at all.

Re: Ronan the pride o'gara
Sorry guys - in hindsight my earlier 2nd paragraph shouldn't have been posted. Drunkeness etc. Edited now. Why shouldn't it have been posted because it was complete rubbish inflamitory and insulting or you can't believe how gullible an idiot you are. Drunkeness is a poor reason. Listen, I've...
