Re: Munster Rugby - Semi Conscious, the Series Finale??? - 2020/21
Wouldn’t agree about Ulster either , that has been one of their weaknesses, in that they rattle up the four tries for the bonus point but fail as they say to put the boot in. They have in the past tended to congratulate themselves and relax. This week against Zebre we saw signs that they have realis...

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October
If RoI go to level 5 what happens to this game do they move to another jurisdiction in order to safeguard the IRFU’s ailing finances ?

Re: 8 Nations 2020
Like the theory re Cooney even if it is slightly flawed in that Ulster have three promising 9’s in the academy in Doak, Finlay and McKee. They maybe haven’t had the exposure of others but following through on The Cooney theory this would be a good time to try them out. Shanahan although showing some...

Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season
Sexton has undoubted pace but the two young players in Ulster backline with potential are Stewart Moore and Robert Balacoune who unfortunately picked up a bad injury in pre season and will probably be out for months. When Arron was playing Mini rugby at Bangor the watch word was give it to Arron as ...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020
Agree with Up Wexford Munster will just have to bite the bullet and play the young outhalfs in the Pro14 to get them experience. After all Munster are inclined to treat the league as a second rate competition and only the ERC really matters to the faithful so this arrangement shouldn’t cause them any...

Re: Ulster 2019-2020
As an Ulstersupporter I have mixed feelings about the rumoured signing. Whilst Shanahan has improved he still does not inspire confidence when you are watching him. Ulster have 3 potential 9 in Finlay, and McKee who was with the U20’sbefore being struck down by tonsillitis and Doak son of our ex pla...

Re: Ulster 2019-2020
Nothing quiet about Ulster fancying their chances in Clermont, they are not a side that you should discount, remember the semifinal in the Avila last year when. They were there supposedly to make up the numbers. They are a better and stronger side now.

Ruckedto bits Two points Ulster are at home at the Kingspan so they will be competitive as our record proves.
Secondly won’t be worth the two hour drive up as it is sold out so unless you have already purchased your ticket it’s a case of watching on the TV.

Re: Connacht 2019/20
Can’t see O’Connor heading down to Leinster after you rejected him. His whole career of any significance has been with Ulster and with Junior now playing at Ulster and getting game time this would be a further reason to stay. I am surprised it has taken so long for him to get any recognition in Lein...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020
Found it surprising that Nucifor allowed Matheson’s. arrival in the first place let alone his prolonged stay. There was great anger in Ulster at his refusal to renew Pienars contract, and Ulster at that point had no obvious replacement. But cometh the Hour cometh the man and John Cooney saw this as ...

Re: Champions Cup 2020 - Standings\predictions
You might need to review your predictions when you view the team selection by Quins for the visit of Ulster on Friday night.
It seems that three games in and they may contrary to their press statement be concentrating on 5he Premiership.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Whilst we all have our gripes and criticism of the IRFU but there is no doubt that they made a better job of “ the Professional Era “ than either the WRU or the SRU The role and strength of the Provincial Branches must also be recognised and I suppose we were lucky that we had a strong competitive b...

D2 blue I am on Sky and but here in N.Ireland both RTE and Eir are geo blocked in spite of having both on my subscription. Our Freeview version of RTE is also blocked. So seems fair to me that ITV is blocked in the ROI. Currently being bored to death by the ITV commentary trying to make the Tonga v ...

Re: Ulster 2018-2019
Fairly cheap shots at a guy who holds genuine beliefs, it may not be your taste but not doing anyone any harm. He could have gone to France or England for ore money just like Sexton did and O’Brien is doing but opted to stay at Ulster. If he had made Folua type remarks then he could be justifiably b...

London Irish prepare for next season with announcement of another Irish International Paddy Jackson signing for them.
Playing in the Premiership will highlight his talents to the Irish Coaching Staff.

If we meet as Blockhead termed in Paradise then I don't think you an rely on many local Blue supporters turning up to support Leinster against Ulster, it could be an interesting day even though Blockhead must be disappointed on his forecasting skills.

Twist your comment that the result didn’t matter is a dangerous generalisation and hope fully not an indication of the Leinster approach to the remaining league programme. The other provinces have still to qualify from the league but of course it would be ok to rest players in yourfinal game. The Vi...

Or maybe they just aren’t sure about Carbery period.
I know that last summer when the Carbery to Ulster campaign was in full cry, the consensus in Ulster was that they would rather have Ross Byrne
