But I wish people stopped saying "girls" like "well done girls" - sounds so creepy and disgusting. They're not girls.

Re: Ireland v France
From L'Equipe Phillipe Saint Andre has reacted to the selection of Stephen Archer by Irish Coach Declan Kidney by altering his bench to omit Vincent Debaty. Instead, Debatys on the bench will be taken Olivier Fournier, a 62 year old Psychiatrist from Paris best known for curing former President Nic...

He doesn't fit the ideal profile in terms of a direct replacement but if we could hijack George Ford's move from Leicester to Bath I'd be happy. Well, less unhappy anyway.

I'd include the outhalf in this rogues gallery. He has learned nothing from the Ospreys game in terms of game management.Donny B. wrote:Distinct lack of rugby intelligence about this team and the captain and coach have to take responsibility for this.

Hmm, hard to disagree with you in principle Donny but don't you think that Isa's latest contract was concluded on the understanding, implicit or otherwise, that he would rebuff any overtures from Fiji? From a Leinster point of view wouldn't it have actually been poor management not to have done so? ...

Interesting that the wingers have swapped sides in the second half. Equal opportunity to audition for the left wing spot presumably.

He was named captain indeed. However, be that as it may, I would certainly go along with the analysis that we were a better side with Hanrahan at the controls.Lamb of BOD wrote:Jackson was selected as starter for the world cup, but withdrawn at the request of Ulster

Re: A whiff of Cordite
His job on the day was to report. He reported. Tomorrow is his column which is where the critical eye and hand come in to play.
Anyway what's being lost here is that it wasn't the Irish Times or Gerry Thornley that said that inexperience cost us the game it was the coach, Declan Kidney.

He reported the coaches comments, he neither agreed or disagreed with them. Granted, I don’t think anyone would be surprised if he framed tomorrow’s column around defending Kidney’s view but that’s not what actually happened here. Re: A whiff of Cordite
Although it was Thornley's byline [under the brilliantly bonkers headline "Ireland outmuscled by experience"] the 'experience' line is in fact Kidney's: “They [Test matches] take approximately five twists in every game, and for fellas to learn from that experience, that what we were doing ...

Re: Argentina Ranking
Their backrow have been sensational - with Fernandez-Lobbe and Leguizmon in the van all day and for both tries. Particularly enjoyed Leguizmon's 'giddley' in the build up to the first although Romain Poite might have called Romaine Poite for crossing.
