Re: Zebre at home, 23 Oct. 19:35

Well there have been a fair few players who have left Leinster to join other provinces of late, even taking out Carberry and Salanoa, even if the truth on the latter is unclear. So not sure where you are going with that one? Only time will tell. I will watch with interest to se how this one pans ou...

Re: Zebre at home, 23 Oct. 19:35

Byrne is probably a bad example to use. He may have had aspirations to play for Ireland, but I’m sure he was sensible to realise that that was not in his cards in the near future. If Leinster can manage to keep 3 international 7s happy, then massive credit to them, but you would have to question th...

Re: Zebre at home, 23 Oct. 19:35

I would like and hope that Munster will back the players that are currently on their books, but it does look inevitable that Leinster will lose at least 1 if not 2 of their international opensides to another province. If Leavy, Connors and JVF are all fit, it is likely that 2 of those will not even...

Re: Zebre at home, 23 Oct. 19:35

Haha, no chance Penny will play for Munster. You'd hope they'd back Hodnet at 7 otherwise... it can't be ruled out. I would like and hope that Munster will back the players that are currently on their books, but it does look inevitable that Leinster will lose at least 1 if not 2 of their internatio...

Re: Benetton v. Leinster, Sat 10 Oct, 1715hrs

I kind of hate the games against the Italians and Dragons, it doesn't matter how good, bad, or indifferent they are - there's no way to take anything out of the game. If you hockey them, well its only the walitalians - if you get past them in a tight hard match, you should have hockeyed them, they'...

Rhys has been everywhere.

Hindsight is 20/20, but you’ve gotta wonder is we got our selection wrong against Sarries. Rhys at 6 and Keenan at 15.
That still doesn't stop the scrum from being mauled.

Re: Leinster A '20-21'

Certainly very disappointing that Leinster are not streaming this game. Clubs are streaming many of the Leinster League / Energia games tomorrow to facilitate supporters & Club members. Leinster should take their responsibility to STH & supporters more seriously. Time for the fans to start kicking ...

Re: Leinster A '20-21'

I don't understand how The New England Free Jacks could get a live stream with commentary of ALL their cara cup games last year before they had even played their first professional game and yet we can't get a stream of this. They even had a live steam of the Leinster v Munster game there and we can'...

seems like ulster's covid issues have prevented them from fielding an A side.
Is there defiantly no A game for us then?

Re: Pro 14 final vs Ulster, Sept 12th. Live on TG4 & EirSport

There was a lot of talk on various forums of the younger "more exciting" fly halfs coming through that were going to upsurge Ross Byrne quickly and take the reigns at 10 when JS retired. I'm sorry but Ross Byrne is the man to lead Leinster and any fly half coming through will have to be pretty damn ...

Re: frawley to munster?

We have seen time and again that leaving Leinster is not good for players. Lancaster was as scathing as he ever would be regarding Carvery being forced out. He said "it is your moral duty to ask yourself what is the best thing for the young man? I believe the best thing for his development was to s...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Fineen is 22, and has played a fair amount of rugby, both in Europe and the league. He was selected behind Billy, as Billy is a very valuable player in the lineout. Much like the selection of Baird behind Toner. One thing I wouldn’t say about Fineen is that he is underpowered? Care to elaborate on ...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

Looking forward with a positive view, and risking the possibility of getting abused by the usual suspects, I will try to go through what I hope we see over the next few months. Firstly, and most importantly, we need to keep this virus contained. The whole league and the HC could be over before it b...

He makes good videos and brings some much needed exposure to tier 2 rugby. Ive been following the MLR since its inception and its really exciting to see where its going. His comments around Folau however are embarrassing.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

I'd forgotten about Denton. Poor old big Tom, always felt a bit sorry for him. That was a strange period in terms of signings. Andrew Goodman too was another strange one. Agree with both of you. Denton was actually here for four years – I thought he was one contract and done. Joe signed him origina...
