Re: Jordi packing his bags

It's a win win for him and for Ulster, but obvs a big loss for us. Of all our backrowers he's been the hardest to accurately rank in the pecking order. He's suffered from being so versatile, been hard for him to stake a claim to any of the jerseys on big game day. He's also been given some very diff...

Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.

The good news is that so long as he avoids a knock in training this week, Johnny will be fine for Saturday. I'm afraid that is all the good news I have. It is not looking good for SOB & Isa. Noel Reid to start at 12. Adam Byrne might pay the price for all those missed tackles. Dan Leavy fit and bac...

Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.

Watched the Exeter Weegies game. Glasgiw would have won it if it weren't for some awful kicking from hand and a few knock ons, most from the LHP. If they kick like that this weekend (straight to the oppo back three in space just beyond the halfway line) then we need to attack them ball in hand in t...

Re: Ulster 2017 - 2018

Aaron Dundon is Ulster's new scrum coach A very shrewd appointment of a guy who made the very best of himself as a player. He arrived in Ireland and played with Seapoint when they were a Junior club and was in the middle of their team winning two Metro Cups in a row before getting a Pro contract an...

Wasn't there talk of a couple of Currie Cup sides (griquas or similar) to join the Anglo Welsh Cup?

Re: EPCR SEMI-FINAL V CLERMONT OR TOULON

haven't gotten around to the overseas membership thing. What does that entail. Could be an interesting option for me. Might stop me complaining about the price of tickets for home games if there were a discount. Great to see so many ST holders willing to help out. I put out the call on Twitter and ...

Could any season ticket holder who isn't planning to go and who got sent the email with the link possibly forward it on to me to use? Pls just PM me if so. I've spoken with LR and they're happy for that to happen if the tickets are going to a good home. I'm living abroad now so no longer a ST holder...

Re: Ireland v. England

There's some sense of schadenfreude in reading posts by the same sort of folk who ridiculed "Kidenme's" provincial and overly conservative selection policies, now twisting themselves into pretzels to justify Joe's utterly bizarre selection of McFadden and retention of serial under-performers like S...

Re: Wales v Ireland Fri 10th March 8 05pm

The bench can help (if you actually decide to use it) but I think this game and the Scotland game were lost in minute 1. We need our players to be on their toes for every game, not just the next perceived "biggie", only to fall flat the next game. You can only do that by having genuine competition f...

Re: Wales v Ireland Fri 10th March 8 05pm

I would put the blame for this largely at Schmidt's door. I know he wasn't the one knocking on, screwing up line outs, flying into the side of rucks. But the guy has got to do a better job of gettING proper match day intensity and execution out of his squad. The way to do that is by having greater c...
