Re: Cardiff V's Leinster
Bit of a funny one. I would imagine he is there to hold tackle bags. He was not needed for Leinsters trip so probably loaned to Ireland. Is there a possibility that they are using him as a Vunipola dummy to practice defense against.[/quote] I'd say it's just tackle back duty. Andrew Boyle was there ...

Re: Robin Copeland
Thank God someone got the Football Manager reference! There's also the academy aspect. Imagine being in the academy and seeing someone signed who wasn't deemed to be good enough in the first place, in a position of great depth, and after only a handful of impressive games. I just don't see how this...

Re: Who will be the Next Irish Coach??
"Joe turns around to find O'Gara sitting eerily behind him." LMAO, sadly I think scenario two is the likeliest course of action, the fact Kidney wasnt thrown in a dungeon after NZ pissed on us, says all you need to know about the clowns running Irish rugby. too bleedin right. Kidney will ...

Re: Who will be the Next Irish Coach??
Joe Schmidt: “By Friday, at least I’ll have spoken to them and we’ll both be a little bit clearer on where we both stand.” Friday: Joe, relaxed and confident, in his best Sunday suit opens the door to the office. A small chair awaits, placed five feet from a long oak table. Five men sit at it, their...

Re: Who will be the Next Irish Coach??
I don't think Schmidt will have enough access to the players to get the skills up to the level required to play his game. It took him half a year with us (with some poor results and calls for his head) and that's when he had full access to all players for that time including pre-season. Penny tried...

Re: Rumour Mill
Joe nearly signed on as coach...was sounded out immediately following Kidney sacking. He will be the next Irish coach. A no-brainer really. Drico would have signed regardless but this is surely going to re-invigorate him at international level.

Re: Who will be the Next Irish Coach??
ok i got it wrong with Lukey Fitz, as noted it was a last minute decision not to join Munster. But my rock solid sources from within Leinster indicate Joe is now due to sign as coach, only a few technicalities to iron out including structures. But Joe Schmidt will be the next Irish coach. Once Kidne...

Re: Lukey Fitz
Its more that he wants to be a twelve. Joe apparently doesn't think he is a centre.

Re: Bored - Lions 2013 squad
leinster4life13 you are right about certain players being over-hyped. Conor George and his ilk are masters at it but i think you are wrong in regards to Zebo. I was sceptical myself at first. The way the New Zealand press got excited and asked about him before he was capped during the summer tour. I...

Re: Bored - Lions 2013 squad
Its your bunting for unproven players that has to be taken down. You seem to be from the Stephen Jones school of buying the Aviva hype and knock the Irishman in form. Until they are playing international rugby forget about it. Zebo has a long way to go no doubt and the hype is dangerously mighty but ...

Re: Lukey Fitz
He is gone. Apparently asked Joe could he play centre after a certain retirement and it could not be guaranteed so hence the Munster move. My source is within the camp. He isn't a winger unfortunately and I think he knows this, so can you really blame him? Some of the talk about his loyalty is way o...

Re: Rumour Mill
Hagan didn't impress here, lets not have a bout of revisionism. Total c~*k up that he and Carr came to Leinster when it was known that Connacht would have Heineken qualification. Both have been corrected somewhat and Leinster can move on. Lots of doom and gloom but Leinster's academy is a machine. W...

Re: Bored - Lions 2013 squad
A few injured/off form/no form players in that team, Marler cant scrum, POC and Gray no form/injured, Bowe still injured. Zebo injured. Zebo over, Maitland, Varndell, Wade, Sharples is a weird one, especially since he wasnt a better option than those guys even before he was injured Ridiculous state...
