Re: Munster 2016-2017
Best of luck to both Irish teams this weekend. This forum is toxic and continuous hostility, abuse and sheer disdain for any alternative view would make anyone question why they would try contribute. I have enjoyed my interactions with the majority of your posters but in recent times the vitriol lev...

Re: Cian Healy cited
The clip shown is inconclusive (does not show the collisionfor a start) and Healy could not have been convicted on that video angle alone. There are various angles available to disciplinary panelsd at the vast majority of pro games with each camera focussing on the play. I would be pretty confident ...

Re: The looking forward to the Lions Tour thread
Because it's simplistic and the logic behind it is even more simplistic. So you know an average player really well so you select him ahead of a player who consistently plays better than him. It's ridiculous and it's the same as saying that player a gets selected ahead of player b because one plays ...

Cian Healy cited
https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/pro12/cian-healy-cited-and-could-miss-clermont-semi-final-1.3053179?mode=amp No link yet. Thought someone (not sure who, never saw the wider angle) might have been cited for dropping his knee onto Bealham's head when Leinster drove over the Connacht scrum. I th...

Re: Joe Schmidt 2017
Did Joe fail in his duty of care for his players by leaving a clearly injured Conor Murray on the pitch v Wales? Spoken with the benefit of 40 days hindsight but also commented on in the immediate aftermath of the game when questioning whether Murray's rehab would be affected by Joe's tardiness in r...

Re: Munster 2016-2017
Its fairly obvious trolling (and boring at that) but there really isn't much difference when it really boils down to it A quick look at the European stats - Leinster have given 14 starts in this European campaign to NIQs - Munster have 16 - Munster have more sub appearances but on average Munster h...

Re: Munster 2016-2017
If you really want to be pedantic, two of the four Munster NIEs (TB and RM) are project players whereas only one of the Leinster 4 (JGB) is a project player.

Re: Munster 2016-2017
Well we were led to believe this was the case by the Munster posters on here who claimed to be in the know. We now know not to trust those sources. So thanks for that. Shock horror Internet forum an untrustworthy source Scannell's gametime being managed by Joe with USA/JAPAN in mind, according to m...

Re: Munster 2016-2017
Interesting to see Chisholm named on the bench, more so when you factor in Ryan's likely departure. Good to see him back. A top player and a top guy.

Re: Munster 2016-2017
Anyway all this chat about Ryan and contracts is a great filler in when there's no big games coming up at the weekend. Meanwhile back in Leinster we've a European Cup Q/F to talk about. A real battle of the titans between two teams currently on top in their respective leagues. Why would you post so...

Played before and after signing contract in Dec 2013. Suffered a near career ending toe injury soon after in March 2014 against Trevino in a god awful 14-3 victory on a god awful night. He missed 18 months.

Re: Munster 2016-2017
I wonder if the amount of money that the IRFU have had to provide to Munster in the last couple of seasons to plug the hole in their finances has played a part in this? No it hasn't Decision made that Ryan is not worth a central contract based on his worth to the team and his ability. I don't imagi...

Re: Leinster v Cardiff Sat 3PM TG4/Sky Sports
Another dreadful crowd on Saturday - just over 10k In fairness there was a Six Nations game last weekend and there is a ECC match next week. Three weekends in a row is both costly and (family) time consuming. The weather was unfortunately a little bit too good after it being so bad for a long perio...

Re: Ireland v. England
IRFUs stats making quite the statement against the narrative that POM was the saviour of the lineout . Lineouts Won - 6 Donnacha Ryan 3 Peter O'Mahony 2 CJ Stander The lineout POM stole with Toner lifting - a trick we've not often seen, but makes lots of sense. POM has a busy day with a lot of tack...
