Re: Connacht 2019/20/21

Apparently Connacht are looking for dispensation to sign a short-term second row. I wonder will they be allowed between Covid and everything else? Or will it be suck it up your not Munster.

Re: Ireland V Italy 24th October

Some interesting selections. I like the look of the backrow it looks well balanced with the three guys complimenting each others play.

Re: 8 Nations 2020

Bealham and Heffernan both went off injured in the Connacht game this weekend. If they are out who replaces them? Also Henderson could be looking at a ban for his red. Does Dillane get called up or do we just go on?

Re: 8 Nations 2020

Some interesting selections. I'd rather have Dillane for Henderson and pleasantly surprised that Baird got a call up. POM and Murray must have pictures of Farrell doing something to get into that squad. I think not calling up another LH is a mistake, bring the likes of Eric O'Sullivan into the squad...

Re: Connacht 2019/20

by Ruckedtobits Great team performance by Connacht - in absolutely stunning Galway weather in front of spectators - against a seriously experienced and hard-nosed Glasgow Warriors squad. The transformation in performance after half-time was impressive and Andy Friend and Jaryd Butler deserve huge c...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Also, Luke McGrath put us under a lot of pressure, with poor kicking and ponderous distribution. He also had three absolute shocking passes in that first half. After all the spin about picking form players, it was a poor call by Leo to pick him. Agreed. JGP has consistently played way better the la...

Losing Joey, Killer and Snyman is huge.
Munster do not have too many players at that level, so it is difficult to see Munster being massively competitive over the next few months.

This is just made worse by losing Kleyn.
So four medical jokers then?

Can't wait for the game. Glad to see two young lads like Baird and Daly getting gametime as well.

I seem to remember there was and extremely jacked center (not sure if it was Peter Robb) coming through when I was last in the sportsgrounds a few years ago, is he still a prospect?
It was Peter Robb. He's a good player but incredibly injury prone.

26-27 is just about the natural maturity age for a prop - Furlong, Porter & Healy were all freaks - so watch out for this young man following in the footprints of Mike Ross.
Glad for him. Can't wait to see him play in two seasons time after Munster sign him.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

by ronk Munster still mostly recruit tactically, instead of strategically. If there’s IQ (& previously project) talent available they try and swoop in. They don’t really need or want a plan; if you’re value they want you. Gallagher was happy in Saracens, but they needed to offload people so he was ...

John Ryan out injured for the next while. Looks like Salanoa might get some gametime sooner than he hoped for.

I suppose he has to use McNulty sometime and in a bunch of dead rubbers is the best scenario. We'll have to see.

Re: Connacht 2019/20

Both shouldn't be on a huge amount of money. They are two gambles by Friend. Hopefully they work out but we will have to see. O'Donnell should be playing wing so will be interested to see who he sees at 15 to rotate with TOH.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020

by ronk Connacht have gutted their squad and signed young very much surplus talent. There are 2 24 year old journeymen already on their 3rd province. These guys have more rugby to give and are somewhat talented but it’s hard to go anywhere living on scraps. If these guys improve with quality game t...

If they bring him back into the fold I've no problem with it. The same way I'd be happy if any of the provinces got Jager to come back.

Diarmuid McCormack (who will hopefully still be involved with the sub academy)
What position does this guy play?
