Re: A whiff of Cordite

Are you sure he is deceased? I'm not, would you believe? After I'd written that about "turning in the grave" I tried to double check and couldn't find confirmation for what was an assumption on my part. I'd delete that comment now, if I knew how. Maybe the moderator(s) could be so kind?..... Edit t...

Re: Andy Farell's Reign of Terror

Andy Farrell's background is in Rugby League: 1: RL don't do scrums or lineouts - maybe this points to why our lineout sucks so bad and he picked a Tighthead to line out at Loosehead against Georgia who traditionally scrummage for fun? 2: RL do lots and lots of bish bash bosh before space opens up -...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21

Aungier was right to go at the time, there is no doubt about that. But Bent is 34, Furlong and Porter are always going to be away for large chunks of the season with Ireland as opposed to Ryan and Archer (irish internationals) who are available for Munster all season, provided Furlong isn't injured...

Re: Andy Farell's Reign of Terror

As long as we play a with a non functioning line out we’re fubarred.

I don’t know what the problem is so no idea what the solution is, but it’s probably a good place to start...

Is there an ex international commentator who knows less about the infringements as they happen in a game than tremenjous?

Just hope their fees can pay for the weekly COVID tests Piltoman/br8 suggests For the record...again...I am not Pilotman. I think most contributors here have figured that out. Others probably see it as a way of winding the Pilot and myself up. At worst it is mildly irritating. Much like Zig and Cap...

Re: Ireland v. Wales, Fri 13 Nov, 19.00

Against england I think there is a strong case to play quinn roux in the second row for the first 50 minutes to ensure our scrum is solid, I would equally make a case the POM should start maybe at 7 for the lineout. We know what england will do (power game) so might be a case of a horses for course...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21

I believe De la Salle Churchtown are the only non fee paying school to have won the Leinster Senior Cup. Twice I think. Apparently the Castleknock parents said their bins weren’t collected the next week because DLS were still celebrating. It’s nice that tradition of snobbery is still alive and well ...

I think the fact the fee paying schools could have their sports and not public schools have their sports is a terrible picture to paint. Best off we all go back playing sports together as soon as possible

Re: Congratulations - President Biden

Congrats Joe Biden, unfortunately he probably won’t go after the utterly corrupt Trump administration because it might alienate the GOP led senate.

Fortunately the SDNY have the orangefaced shitgibbon on tex evasion charges and he’s also broke so there’s always that...

No, it was Bowe. Very stupid move, and we were still in the game at 3-3 on 40 minutes at that point.
Fairynuff, I thought it was a harsh call at the time tbh

Re: France vs Ireland, 31 Oct - 8pm

Just watching the match again, almost every Irish ruck could arguably have been a penalty for us for the french rolling into to the scrum half.

we should have either challenged Barnes on not glowing it or forced the issue.

how can a team that experienced be so naive?

Easiest way to scrap the electoral college is to get over 50% of the electoral college votes to pick the winner of the national popular vote. Here the problem becomes the swing states that like being swing states watched a good video on this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYVw9lPiCHQ&t=1238s
