Didn’t work out that well for Leinster. 1 guy still in the squad, and he had to switch positions.
Cathal Marsh and Marti Moore have had reasonable careers

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

https://www.sportsfile.com/more-images/2007093/#12 Doesn't look like someone carrying a calf injury in the photos linked. Can't see James Ryan in there but maybe someone more eagle-eyed than me could confirm. Also great to see Dan Leavy back on the pitch. Leavy looking very big there, Andrew Proter...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news but sexton has injured his calf in training now too. Will be very difficult to beat Saracens now. https://www.sportsfile.com/more-images/2007093/#12 Doesn't look like someone carrying a calf injury in the photos linked. Re: A whiff of Cordite

Excellent hands i.e. catching the ball and passing it to a team-mate; Explosive acceleration and running balance over 15m i.e. runs away from effective tackles; Good tackler on both sides i.e. he can tackle opponents with his right & left shoulders; Reads the game well i.e. he anticipates where to ...

Re: 2nd Row going forward

Academy 2nd rows..aren't small, if you believe the official listings: Charlie Ryan(21) - 6'7 110kg. Academy Yr 2 Brian Deeny(20) - 6'7, 110kg. Academy Yr 2 Joe McCarthy(19) - 6'6, 110kg. Academy Yr 1 McCarthy looks to be a real power athlete, not sure i'd place either Ryan or Deeny in that category...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

I’d have ranked BOD and McCaw very highly but talent is more something I tend to associate with backs. McCaw was more of a dogged player. Yes good jumpers throwers and scrummagers can be classed as skilful or talented but it is a term more often than not reserved for backs. I suppose I just wanted ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

There is a standing joke in Irish rugby that one of the most eagerly awaited news items in a season is the confirmation of Leinster’s first year academy intake, especially amongst the other provinces. That announcement will come early this week and in Limerick, Cork, Galway and Belfast there’ll be ...

Re: Hooker options going forward

Oh, and John Hayes was never a hooker and again it was 20 years ago. correct John Hayes was a hurler then briefly a second row, and since you're the one who brought Brad Thorne into it - he was a prop and lock in Rubgy LEAGUE - an entirely different sport and position and he became one of the great...
