Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023

Of the 50000 expected to attend, how many do we expect will be Leinster fans?

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Very little excuse for neither George Clancy nor Joy Neville not spotting the high hit on Henshaw. I wonder was it that phenomenon whereby officials from one country are unusually harsh on their compatriots/lenient on the opposition in their desire not to be biased That is true but surely they coul...

Re: Glass is Full!

Great post OTT. I remember the seasons from 2002 to 2007 when everybody would have been ecstatic to win a league title. Now winning three in a row does not satisfy many fans unless we also win the HC. Expectations are a little unrealistic.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

In fact the biggest weakness Saracens have today, compared with last year, is the absence of Owen Farrell which has nothing to do with the Salary Cap punishments etc. If Leinster do win today, which is by no means a certainty, then it is two wins from three over the last three years and we can right...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

A strong characteristic of Saracens is that if they get an early lead they are very hard to catch due to their suffocating defense. Therefore no matter how strong our bench is, we may not be able to win if our starting 15 can not match their starting 15.

Re: A whiff of Cordite

The media seem to be relishing the prospect that Munster, with their two high profile signings, may at last be able to re-assert their former ( ten years ago) dominance over Leinster.

Re: Pro14 season suspended

Maybe come up with some new trophy like a league leaders shield or something, but being just awarded the title would be a bit meaningless, for me. We should really have a 'minor premiership' type trophy anyways, based on final, integrated, league positions rugby league has a league shield for the w...

Re: Pro14 season suspended

Whether Leinster are nominated winners now or whether the season is nulled probably makes little difference to most. Leinster will enter next season as the current Pro14 champions either way and will be the top seeded team from the Pro14 for next season's HCC either way. The only difference is that ...

Re: Pro14 season suspended

I agree with Dave Rennie's proposal. The idea of having a final between Leinster and Edinburgh would not be acceptable to Munster or Ulster who would rightly claim that they had a very good chance of finishing the regular season with more points than Edinburgh. And would there really be time to play...

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

It seems that the Welsh Regions want to join the breakaway English clubs to form an Anglo Welsh League. This would be devastating for the Pro14.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

None of this season's club tournaments will be completed. The only reason it hasn't been confirmed is that when it is confirmed, they have to give refunds, and they will delay doing that at long as is legally possible Will the seedings for next season's HCC be then based on the current positions of...

Wow! Strange days indeed. So what are they going to do? If the crisis fades away over the next month; -call all unplayed games 0-0 and finish the rest + playoff games? If the season is written off then how do they decide next seasons Heino qualifiers? So many imponderables. Merge the two conference...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

Leinster at home seem far more likely to beat sarries, then Ireland were to beat England at Twickenham Sarries will be a right handful though, they are used to winning big games and have a confidence and edge about them, it's also win or bust for them in term of the season. But you guys can match t...

Re: Ospreys Away, 21st of Feb

Congrats on your win, it's hard to complain when your out scored 3 trys to one in a home fixture, I thought we deserved a losing bp though I was happy with our commitment and organisation in defence plus fitness levels were good. If we can keep those up we will win more games than we lose Price mis...

Williams is back for Wales during 6n. Presume he will play in the quarters. Farrell, itoje and Billy v maybe off to lyon.. Hope they wait til end of season.... Would be sweet to win against the same team as in Newcastle. I would prefer if all three were gone before April but I doubt it. What is the...
