Re: The Final, Saracens in Newcastle, May 11th. Drive for Fi

Toulouse's hegemony over decades was built on outspending their French rivals. Yet we revere them. Whether Saracens out spend the English salary cap is neither here nor there in relation to a European competition that has NO salary cap. In the past they relied heavily on imported players but more re...

Re: The Final, Saracens in Newcastle, May 11th. Drive for Fi

If (and it’s a significant if) Leinster win on Saturday it would mean 5 winners medals for Sexton, Healy & Toner (3 from the bench), 4 medals for SOB & R Kearney (both with 1 from the bench) and 3 for Cronin (1 from bench). 6th final for Leo. Lost his 1st one playing for Leicester v Wasps, won next ...

Re: U20's Club 2018/19

Some change in fortune all right. They had been in a bad run of form since the middle of January including loosing to all the teams they beat in the McCorry Cup. I think everyone would have had Lansdowne as firm favorites. Remember they only lost the Fraser McMullen SF in extra time. So well done Te...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

Surely they have to go for ROG then? They need an attack coach and they need a two or three big names players. Maybe there's scope for one big name player but that'll be it so they should really aim for a high profile coach. Unless he's going to join the Ireland setup (and I wouldn't rule that out)...

Re: Can Leinster be competitive in the coming seasons?

The biggest loss will be when Stu goes to the Ireland set up. Is Filipe up to the job? Of replacing Lancaster? No. But given he just signed a new contract with Leinster, who says he will have to replaced any time soon? I seem to remember the announcement being a bit vague. Did they NOT give a durat...

One last thing about the final. They did not present runner up medals to UCC on the day. I just dont understand this at all. It seems mean in the extreme not to award RU medals.

FRASER MCMULLEN SEMI FINALS

Clontarf 26 - 27 UCC

Lansdowne 29 - 32 Trinity

Sounds like Clontarf missed their players who are over playing in Boston.
Trinity score a converted try in the 82 min to secure the win. A very good game played in gale force wind.

Re: Leinster A 18-19

A back row in the 2nd row. A hooker in the back row. Only forwards on the bench are 2 props (though I firmly believe Coyne could play any position on the pitch). And their being asked to back it up in 3 days time. I note Munster only had 5 on the bench. Flip side is additional exposure for lots of p...

Do we know who is in our EPRC squad and who they are allowed to add? All the speculation on the no 7 shirt by broadcasters seems to ignore this. Also is Nick McCarthy still in our EPRC squad?
