Re: Rumour Mill
I don't think Thornbury is at a level where he'd be a big contributor for Leinster - I like him as a player, and at his best he absolutely could have been, but that's about 2 years ago at this point. I've seen him fail to shine at AIL level numerous times this season for Blackrock. He justifiably i...

Re: 6N Ireland Wales - Dublin 2:15pm Sat 24 Feb
Watched the match again yesterday and one of the things I noticed is that the players seem to be wearing different socks or am I imagining it? Some with more white than others? A lot of players will wear ankle strapping or have additional grip socks over the team socks. Crowley here with something ...

Re: Rumour Mill
I think we could we see Baird revert to second row and retain one/some of Penny/Soroka/Deegan/AN other as there's been rumours around their future.
Either way, a shame to see Ross go but can't blame him looking for a new challenge.

Re: 6 Nations 2024
Have a look of the satellite view of the aviva on google maps. How many houses will need to be purchased to replicate the other end and that's before the question of shade that the size of the stand will cast. The site simply is too small for a larger stadium. Yes, of course I have looked at that. ...

Re: 6 Nations 2024
It takes up just over 700 seats The real travesty of the stadium is the dip where there should be another stand. It shall never not look utterly ridiculous. I agree. We can’t leave it like that- forget the aesthetics, the lost capacity is ridiculous- an opportunity financial cost, and a loss for ma...

Does Oli Jager even know how to swing a hurl or is that rite of passage only reserved for residency and granny rulers?

Re: 6 Nations 2024
Scotland should really be moaning about the fact that they had the winning of that game 30 minutes beforehand but did nothing and found themselves at the mercy of the TMO rules and available camera angles.

Thanks both, thought as much but hadn't taken into account the potential for other teams to change ranking points too.

Re: IRB World Rankings
Am I right in thinking that Ireland can only gain more ranking points vs England for the remainder of the six nations if we win all games?

Re: A whiff of Cordite
New Molecast out. Lads working overtime! It's very good, glad that my view that ref was one eyed isn't a solitary one. The analysis of ireland's kicking, lineout and pressure tactics is better than anything I've read or listened to from traditional media sources. Kudos to the Mole trio, it's always...

Re: RDS redevelopment
This will save some time, If you have an idea of what the stadium should be like and it's not compatible with a 5 star FEI showjumping event, then it can't happen. For comparison, an example of a 5 star FEI showjumping arena is the RDS with the north and south stands removed. That's correct Dave bu...

Re: RDS redevelopment
Apart from roofing the North and South stands to prevent fans getting drowned out of it on rainy days, I've always thought it would also be a good idea from the point of acoustics. If it were possible, as an aspect of the renovation I would like to see the pitch entirely surrounded by solid structu...
