Re: Clermont - The Game
Surely he's the lesser of 3 evils? I would've preferred Owens, but isn't Barnes the LEAST homer, and Pearson being the WORST homer? I'd agree, Barnes is probably the best of a bad bunch. The Leinster brains trust will be going through the ASM V Ulster match in detail, Ulster had ASM beaten and we c...

Re: Clermont - The Game
Yep, the scrum will be crucial, if we get parity we are in with a good chance, think Ross is a different player with Thorn behind him. Leinster have the winning mentality and can come back from a losing position. Clermont have yet to win a HC SF and in typical Gallic fashion can blow cold just as ea...

Re: Leinster v Embra
Must be going to play the full team v Ulster for a run out before Clermont. This. But not sure I agree with the rationale.... Bod and Cullen have played two matches on the trot, they will go for the same plan of playing a tough game (Ulster) before the big one against Clermont. For lads coming back...

Re: Clermont Forum
Yep a hugh amount of respect for Leinster and the rugby we play. I bet that trashing handed out to them in the Aviva has left some scars that if they don't get off to a good start may come back to haunt them. Bordeaux is not the Auvergne and the Stade Chaban-Delmas will not create the same atmospher...

Would love to know how many will travel, hard to believe we will take all 5000 tickets. Tribune Presidentielle (12100 places) Laterale Tribune de Face (12...

Re: Brad Thorn coming to Leinster?
Leinsters name being used to get a better deal with Munster, wake up guys, this is agents talk. Do you really think this Munster hero would consider slapping all his turnip team mates, friends and family in the face by joining the ladies?? Farrelly is a Munster head, guess Ryans agent will be lookin...

Re: Indo reporting Donnacha Ryan considering Leinster move
Were not greedy, I'd be happy with Thorn for 3 months. If Ryan did move (and I can't see it happening) it would be some slap in the face for the red army and I don't see Ryan doing that to them.
As Ronk said, must be contract renewal/extension time.

Re: Steven Sykes
Thorn is a good player but we must be talking about a lot of money, the sort of cash that would pay a year's salary for a mere mortal. I'd be more inclined to take the risk on our current panel and put the money into a bigger signing later. Personally I'd spend the money now, when doing so could be...

Re: Ruddock Staying with Leinster
Ruddock finally recognised that if he wants to progress and play for the best team in Europe then he needs to stay put and work harder rather than throwing the rattle out of the cradle. I honestly don't think he would have gotten that much more game time at Munster. And if he really wanted to get ga...

Re: Brad Thorn coming to Leinster?
Please, please, please make it happen, it's not as if we would need him every week, actually only 4 matches (HEC QF/SF/Final and Rabo final) and a couple of cameo appearances to keep him up to speed. All thats needed is a bit of player mangement to wrap him in cotton wool, sure we are experts in pla...

Re: Brad Thorn coming to Leinster?
Now I am really getting excited, if Thorn signs I would not fear Clermont away, what a statement of intent. I am holding off booking my HC final tickets and flights but if this signing is announced where's my credit card. Chabal won't come to Leinster we simply could not afford his wages, unless Rac...
