Re: WRWC France 2014

Great to see Paula Fitzpatrick playing at 6 and O'Brien at 8, was worried O'Brien's injury was tournament ending as she seemed to be in a lot of discomfort coming off. Fitz had a fantastic game against NZ good to see that being rewarded. I found it strange that she was played at 8 on Saturday when S...

Re: New European Jersey

What's the back of it like?

Will there be a ladies' version?

It could have been worse, I'm not sure I'll be rushing out to buy it, but I'd like to see it in the flesh and on some mere mortals, before judging it. I do like that they've added more yellow.

Great final!

Kinda pleased it was McCaw who gave away final penalty.

Or Zebo!

Big gang heading to Porterhouse Central to watch the game tomorrow, so should be good atmosphere at least. Close to city centre for anyone hoping to nip out of work a bit early to watch it. More the merrier!

Thought I saw someone here say it was decent. I'm planning to check it out when I finish my current lot.

Nice!

It really is hard to beat the enjoyment of a good book.

We've had no TV in the house for the past two weeks and everyone is going around like there's been a bereavement. I think it's great! I can go into the sitting room and read quietly without anyone coming in and putting the TV on.

Re: Friday's rant

Had an exam today, so couldn't buy tickets for the final at1. So had dad go to a ticketmaster kiosk/outlet to buy 2, or 4. But he was told "online only for sales". So by the time I got out of the exam they were sold out.

Boo!

Is that just so they can get the charges?

Genuine question, who is/are the better alternative in that constituency? And why?

I'm struggling to find the least worst candidate.

Re: Box Sets... The Next One ???

I'm strangely addicted to Sons of Anarchy on Netfix. I got bogged down on Season 4. A show to give Hell on Wheels a run for it's money on terrible Irish accents. Same here, had to stop watching SoA or I'd have flung computer through the window. Couldn't stick Hell on Wheels for the same reason. Did...

Re: Leinster V Ulster

McFadden can probably consider himself very lucky there. Could have been more than a penalty. I actually think Ferg is having a great game.....along with Henderson for Ulster. I never said he wasn't, I just felt he was lucky, given recent decisions on such incidents. He could easily have seen yello...

Re: All Ireland League - Thread

I think yesterday's game in Garryowen showed why Leo Auva'a is bloody overrated. He looks so lazy and ponderous and for a guy who people think should get Leinster contracts/pro-contracts elsewhere, his work rate is awful! Thought Belvo's backs were pretty solid, but their forwards didn't do them any...

Re: Jonny Wikinsons Toulon Away

I can hear the crowing from coming from the south already Sod 'em, they haven't won anything yet. We need to stop worrying about their chip on the shoulder. Their chip? They're not the ones bemoaning the alleged chip before the game is over at all! If anything they'll be as devastated as Leinster f...

Absolutely brilliant. Excellent. 9/10. Great film.

If you liked the first one you will love this.
. If you'd like a historians slant on it try Persian Fire by Tom Holland.
Just want to second the recommendation for Persian Fire.

Who should I go to about picking runners? Great progress! I'm not able to stick the treadmill at all, as you say it's so hard to avoid constantly looking at the display! Amphibian King in Ashtown/Bray are very good for gait analysis, or Base2Race. I'm not so sure about how well trained the guys in ...

Re: Friday's rant

The two languages for announcement is, as is usually the case, for legal reasons. Both are "official" languages. I do dislike that Irish Rail insist on putting the Irish announcements first. I feel sorry for tourists, using the train. I've decent irish, mostly for use in foreign countries ...
