Re: RDS redevelopment
The one thing that has been putting me off getting a season ticket is that the only ones available each year appear to be on the uncovered stands. If they cover them I'll definitely be buying at least 2. Snap!! I looked the last couple of years and there were ST available for the stands. This year ...

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens
Are you worried or do I need to check the date? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/68708573 Nope... That's the latest injury update. There's a chance we could be a bit callow though I do think some of the lads coming through the academy look able to play at this level (Edit to be clear... Nope...

Re: Ulster 2023/24
I know a consultant surgeon who just recently retired from the NHS in Belfast. His opinion is that all the difficulties stem from funding and the lack thereof not from management NHS spending per capita in the UK has gone up over 40% since 2013, which is way above population growth and their health...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
I think I saw somewhere that the GAA charge 750k for it - just taking that as a rough estimate, it means the first 30k tickets are paying for rent. We're not generating >30k sales for a URC QF Not sure that figure is correct, remember hearing comments the time Eddie Hern refused to pay the addition...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
molecast great on this today. Yes - but they did seem to think RDS would be available for the URC QF whereas I think Croke Park is being mooted for that. They asked what number of tickets need to be sold to pay for Croke Park. I think I saw somewhere that the GAA charge 750k for it - just taking th...

Re: Cert expired
Still getting the same issues on desktop browser and seems to affect page loading at times with formatting/images all wrong. IS it possible that the cert used is suitable for mobile but not desktops? I don't have issues on mobile or desktop and it doesn't seem to affect the majority on here... Whic...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
I’m not sure I follow your point around playing a semi final in Croke park being nuts and that the game should be moved somewhere different. What different venue are you suggesting? Isn’t the whole point that there isn’t anywhere else different that’s suitable to our needs? The RDS and the Aviva bo...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
I don't think people are getting irritated by a game in Kilkenny... I certainly amn't. It's the general f%~king around... Playing a URC QF in Croke Park for example is nuts. That should be moved somewhere different. Likewise the question of what the plan actually is... One report says one game not ...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
For one game? Jeez- my heart bleeds. Ridiculous stereotypical in its Dublin-centric entitlement… I think people need to understand that most fans are fairly casual, they enjoy watching rugby and for many it's an excuse to catch up with friends or hang out with the kids. Many will only go to one or ...

I can understand the last one as there could have been an injury and you have to bring back a prop. But the two at 74' seems odd unless there are rolling subs

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
Has it been confirmed that the RDS is not available for all of next season ? I presume all the speculation about Kilkenny or Wexford or Carlow or Portlaoise is because these GAA grounds have capacity bigger than the RDS Leinster should treat this as a great opportunity to take a match to each of th...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
Don't imagine next season's fixtures are public yet but the Aviva is in use 24th August, 7th & 10th September and 14th November (though imagine no league games as AI are on)
So could be one of the early league games

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
They haven't said that it's the Munster game. RDS is due to be unavailable. Aviva will be unavailable some of the time. I'm sure they could find a slot for the Aviva for a game that would sell out. I'd think it would be a different game in Kilkenny. I'd say there'd be plenty of interest for a trip ...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
I presume the Nowlan park booking is for the Leinster v Munster URC league match next season? That stadium is only 24k capacity ..... so why not just jack up the prices of the RDS to that of the Aviva for that match, and save the rental costs (and traveling hassle for fans)? If Leinster want to &qu...

Re: 6 Nations (Women)
A very promising performance. You can see the changes that Scott Bemand and Declan Danagher have made to the organisation of the team, particularly in defence. We had a limited game plan that relied on our defence and a strong kicking game and it pretty much worked the way they wanted it to. We wou...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
I'll forever argue that other than for really high demand games, we should play knockouts at the RDS. Not only is the atmosphere better, it creates scarcity which drives season tickets (and before someone mentions it - we haven't sold out of season tickets for years) Sent from my LE2123 using Tapata...

A Surprisingly few people know the origin of the name Sheep sh!t on the pitches historically? Nope We just always referred to Terenure as "Manure"... assumed it was because it rhymed. And then became The Gick Didn't realise there was an origin story Sent from my LE2123 using Tapatalk

My concern would be that the England game gives Scotland hope - either shows a chink in our armor or just gives them something to be optimistic about.
